Hollywood Xpo, October 15 – 17 at the Hilton Universal City, Features Appearances by Over 100 Stars, Reunions, Screenings & More!
(Hollywood, CA – September 29, 2010) Over 100 stars – including two American legends – iconic comics super hero creator Stan Lee and foremost science fiction and fantasy author Ray Bradbury — plus 50 luminaries from various incarnations of Star Trek and other top TV series and films — will all appear at Hollywood Xpo, the first-annual multimedia, popular culture convention for fans of science fiction, fantasy and horror, film, TV, comics, online entertainment, literature and music. Hollywood Xpo will take place October 15 – 17, 2010 at the Hilton Universal City, 555 Universal Hollywood Drive, Universal City. Event hours are Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
The convention kicks off Thursday night, October 14 at 8:00 p.m. with a free pre-opening day screening of Star Trek: Of Gods & Men.
Friday’s highlights will include a Star Trek: Of Gods & Men on-stage reunion, featuring 15 actors from the film and most of the crew, including Star Trek original cast members Walter Koenig (Chekov), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Grace Lee Whitney (Rand), as well as Alan Ruck (Captain John Harriman) on Generations, Tim Russ (Tuvok) on Voyager and more.
On Friday evening, The Hollywood Legacy Awards banquet (separate ticket required) will honor icons who have positively contributed to the richness and betterment of humanity through the popular arts, film, TV, music and literature.
Stan Lee, known to millions as the man whose super heroes propelled Marvel Comics to a preeminent position in the comic book industry and co-creator of Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men and The Fantastic Four, will make a rare on-stage appearance on Saturday. Ray Bradbury – whose best-known books, masterworks “The Martian Chronicles,” “The Illustrated Man,” “Fahrenheit 451” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes” — were all made into classic films — will also take center stage Saturday along with the cast and crew of Ray’s latest movie adaptation, “Crysalis”. Star Trek celebrity highlights will include Jonathan Frakes (Cmdr. Riker) and Michael Dorn (Worf) on Next Generation.
Celebrities scheduled to appear on Sunday include Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) and Star Trek stars Robert Duncan McNeill (Lt. Paris) on Voyager and John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox), Connor Trinneer (Cmdr. “Trip” Tucker) and Dominic Keating (Lt. Reed) on Enterprise.
Other celebrity appearances will include Eric Roberts (The Expendables), Laraine Newman (Saturday Night Live), John Savage (The Deer Hunter) Catherine Hicks (7th Heaven), Erin Moran (Happy Days) and many more.
Film and TV show reunions throughout the weekend will include Lost in Space with Bill Mumy (Will Robinson) June Lockhart (Mrs. Robinson) and Mark Goddard (Major West); Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with Alan Ruck (Cameron), Cindy Pickett (Mrs. Bueller) and Edie McClurg (Grace) and InAlienable with Richard Hatch (Dr. Eric Norris), Walter Koenig (Dr. Schilling) and Erick Avari (Howard Ellis).
Production talent set to appear includes Eugene ‘Rod’ Roddenberry, television producer and only son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry and actress Majel Barrett; The Chiodo Brothers (Stephen, Charles & Edward Chiodo), sibling special effects artists, best known for their classic cult film Killer Klowns from Outer Space; Star Trek illustrator Rick Sternbach and many more.
In addition to celebrity on-stage appearances, Hollywood Xpo will feature photo opportunities with celebrity guests, autographs at the Walk of Fame, an Artist’s Alley of comic book artists offering demonstrations of their work, and much more. The exhibit hall will be filled with companies and distributors selling and displaying collectibles from the worlds of sci-fi, Star Trek, comics, fantasy and horror.
A unique grid of filmmaking workshops will also be offered, where up-and-coming filmmakers can learn from award-winning directors, cameramen, makeup artists, screenwriters, actors and more about how to make your own film in the 21st century.

Three-day general admission tickets are $75, and single day general admission tickets are $25 Friday, $30 Saturday and $25 Sunday. Children and youths 17 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.
