Appearing on both November 5th and November 6th, 2016 at the Crown Plaza Hotel & Conference Center, Jim Steranko will be celebrating 50 years as an innovative comic creator. The cost of the VIP package is only $25.00!!!! For those lucky enough to attend, the VIP package will include:

  • Weekend Admission To the Show
  • Complimentary 2016 Pop Con Milwaukee Inaugural Poster featuring Jim Steranko and his 50 years in the comic industry. The poster was personally designed by Jim Steranko. As an added bonus, Jim Steranko will personally sign each poster, free of charge.
  • Additional signatures on any non CGC items are only $10.00 each.
  • VIP ticket holders will have access to Jim Steranko VIP 50th anniversary event. For those lucky enough to attend, you will be able to mingle with Steranko, ask questions, and help him celebrate his 50th anniversary event. The event will take place from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday evening after the show.
  • Group Photo Op with Jim Steranko for VIP package holders only! For those familiar with the Comic Con circuit, Jim Steranko does not do photo ops or pose for photos. He has never done it, but for Pop Con Milwaukee, Steranko has agreed to a free group photo op with VIP members.

Pop Con Milwaukee will combine quality dealers, affordable pricing, and classic celebrity guests from the fields of sports, entertainment, music, and TV/Movie. The stars will be present to personally meet with you have your photograph taken, and obtain autographs. No autographs will be priced over $20.00, with many celebrities signing and posing for free pictures.

The event will be held November 5th & 6th, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel & Convention Center, 6401 South 13th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53221, located moments from the Mitchell International Airport. Plenty of FREE parking.

Advanced admission tickets ($10.00 for a weekend pass) are on sale now at the Pop Con Milwaukee website and are available for immediate purchase on location at Grave Yard Records and Movie Maniacs located at 1013 Milwaukee Ave, South Milwaukee, WI 53172. VIP tickets will be announced shortly.

Show Hours: For those that purchase advance tickets, on Saturday, November 5th, you will be able to redeem your ticket for your Pop Con entrance wristband between the hours of 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Once you have your wristband, you will be able to enter first when the doors open at 10:00 AM and this will allow you to avoid the anticipated long lines. General Admission tickets will go on sale at 11:00 AM.

SPECIAL NOTE: On Sunday, November 6th, 2016, we are offered free admission to all military, police, fire, and rescue personnel that show valid identification. Limited amounts of Sunday tickets are available, so please order in advance.

Dealers will be carefully screened and selected. All autograph dealers must sell authenticated items, no exceptions. Confirmed dealers will be specializing in Sports, Breweriana, Comics, Military, Autographs, Political, Hockey, Horror, and must more.

It is our goal to “celebrate” the dealers, and to support them as stars of the convention. If you go to the exhibitor’s link on our homepage, you will see the graphics which have been created to promote the vendors/artists who will be appearing at the show. With low table fees and a big advertising budget, it is our goal to create an environment which will be profitable for those in attendance. We have already confirmed several old time collectors that are bringing rare items to the show.

A local pinup photograph troop, “Heels for Combat Boots”, will be appearing in vintage WW2 clothing and will be available for FREE photographs and autographs.

The R2D2 Builders club will be showcasing actual, movie accurate remote controlled robots.

Grappling fans can meet the stars of MIAW wrestling Billy E. Goat, TC Washington, The Professor, Johnny Swashbuckle, Juan Hernandez, Zack McGuire, Angel Armani, Xavier Mustafa, The Candyman, Silas Young, and many more heroes of the ring. AWA wrestling legend “Jake “The Milkman” Milliman will be making a rare public appearance. The wrestlers will be appearing both days to sign free autographs, pose for pictures, and answer questions about the rigors and highlights of professional wrestling.

(Hollywood, CA – September 29, 2010) Over 100 stars – including two American legends – iconic comics super hero creator Stan Lee and foremost science fiction and fantasy author Ray Bradbury — plus 50 luminaries from various incarnations of Star Trek and other top TV series and films — will all appear at Hollywood Xpo, the first-annual multimedia, popular culture convention for fans of science fiction, fantasy and horror, film, TV, comics, online entertainment, literature and music. Hollywood Xpo will take place October 15 – 17, 2010 at the Hilton Universal City, 555 Universal Hollywood Drive, Universal City. Event hours are Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

The convention kicks off Thursday night, October 14 at 8:00 p.m. with a free pre-opening day screening of Star Trek: Of Gods & Men.

Friday’s highlights will include a Star Trek: Of Gods & Men on-stage reunion, featuring 15 actors from the film and most of the crew, including Star Trek original cast members Walter Koenig (Chekov), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Grace Lee Whitney (Rand), as well as Alan Ruck (Captain John Harriman) on Generations, Tim Russ (Tuvok) on Voyager and more.

On Friday evening, The Hollywood Legacy Awards banquet (separate ticket required) will honor icons who have positively contributed to the richness and betterment of humanity through the popular arts, film, TV, music and literature.

Stan Lee, known to millions as the man whose super heroes propelled Marvel Comics to a preeminent position in the comic book industry and co-creator of Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men and The Fantastic Four, will make a rare on-stage appearance on Saturday. Ray Bradbury – whose best-known books, masterworks “The Martian Chronicles,” “The Illustrated Man,” “Fahrenheit 451” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes” — were all made into classic films — will also take center stage Saturday along with the cast and crew of Ray’s latest movie adaptation, “Crysalis”. Star Trek celebrity highlights will include Jonathan Frakes (Cmdr. Riker) and Michael Dorn (Worf) on Next Generation.

Celebrities scheduled to appear on Sunday include Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) and Star Trek stars Robert Duncan McNeill (Lt. Paris) on Voyager and John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox), Connor Trinneer (Cmdr. “Trip” Tucker) and Dominic Keating (Lt. Reed) on Enterprise.

Other celebrity appearances will include Eric Roberts (The Expendables), Laraine Newman (Saturday Night Live), John Savage (The Deer Hunter) Catherine Hicks (7th Heaven), Erin Moran (Happy Days) and many more.

Film and TV show reunions throughout the weekend will include Lost in Space with Bill Mumy (Will Robinson) June Lockhart (Mrs. Robinson) and Mark Goddard (Major West); Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with Alan Ruck (Cameron), Cindy Pickett (Mrs. Bueller) and Edie McClurg (Grace) and InAlienable with Richard Hatch (Dr. Eric Norris), Walter Koenig (Dr. Schilling) and Erick Avari (Howard Ellis).
