UK – The Mummy #1 Signing

0000_mummy1_fpWriter PETER MILLIGAN and cover artist JOHN McCREA will be signing THE MUMMY #1 at the Forbidden Planet Birmingham Megastore on Saturday 12th November from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.

For 2000 years the Sect of Anubis have prolonged their life spans through human sacrifice and the enslavement of an Egyptian High Priestess cursed to walk the afterlife for all eternity. On one night every thirty years the Sect must offer up a human vessel to house the spirit of Nebetah so that they can kill her and drink her blood, thus granting them immortality. But this year they have chosen the wrong vessel and she’s not going willingly…

UK – Miracleman/The Discipline Signing

000000-MiraclemanMark Buckingham and Peter Milligan at Forbidden Planet on Wednesday, 2nd March, 2016 at 6:00 PM!

Press Release:

Join MARK BUCKINGHAM signing MIRACLEMAN VOL. 1 THE GOLDEN AGE and PETER MILLIGAN signing SOONER OR LATER and THE DISCIPLINE #1 at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Wednesday 2nd March from from 6 – 7pm!

Atop Olympus, Mark Buckingham’s MIRACLEMAN presides over a brave new world forged from London’s destruction. It is a world free of war, of famine, of poverty. A world of countless wonders. A world where pilgrims scale Olympus’s peak to petition their living god while, miles below, the dead return in fantastic android bodies. It is an Age of Miracles — but is humankind ready for it? Do we even want it? Is there a place for humanity in a world of gods? Gaiman and Buckingham delve into the lives of lonely idealists, rebellious schoolchildren and fracturing families, exploring the human constant in a changing world of gods and miracles.

000000-DisciplineIn Peter Milligan’s SOONER OR LATER, we find ourselves in Thatcher’s Britain – and Micky Swift is still on the dole. Disillusioned with his dour existence in dreary Camden, Micky’s life is suddenly turned inside out when he is plucked dragged into the 30th century as the property of one Mr & Mrs Katsbreath – a case of mistaken identity. Unwanted, trapped in the future and still unemployable, if Micky wants to return home (time travel isn’t cheap you know!), he will need to find a job!

And in DISCIPLINE #1, Melissa fall in lust with a stranger who’s an awful lot more than he seems. What appears to be a simple seduction is revealed as something much darker and more dangerous. This controversial and erotically-charged tale of sex, death, and metamorphosis begins with an explosion of carnality and weirdness.

Peter Milligan and Mike Carey sign at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2H 8JR, on Thursday 18th October 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

John Constantine, chain-smoking occultist anti-hero, is back in Peter Milligan’s ‘Hellblazer – the Devil’s Trench Coat’. When Gemma Masters punishes her uncle by auctioning off his trench coat, she ignites an horrific chain of events. Bleeding apartment walls, unplanned visits to the middle of the Thames, a farting demon, a suspicious angel, a Hellish aquarium, and an old adversary all await Constantine as he races to track down his coat before it sends him to Hell again!

In the sixth volume of Mike Carey’s ‘Unwritten’, Tom Taylor goes to war against the cabal that has tormented, imprisoned and tried to destroy him. To have a hope of winning, Tom must use every weapon he can get hold of, but even storybook magic carries its own risks. Tom’s crusade plays out against the backdrop of the cabal’s sinister secret history and delves deep into the dark past of some of the series’ major players. When it’s all over, very little will remain ‘Unwritten’.
