CA – Community Panel

Joel McHale and Chevy Chase speak about NBC’s Community

Wednesday, March 3, 2010
7:00 pm PT
Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills

Joel McHale, “Jeff Winger”
Chevy Chase, “Pierce”
And additional members of the cast and creative team.

Boasting a crack ensemble cast led by Joel McHale as wisecracking disgraced lawyer Jeff Winger, Community follows the misadventures of a quirky group of students at Greendale Community College, an institute of less than higher learning. Creator Dan Harmon’s cult credentials are impeccable—he’s behind Channel 101 and The Sarah Silverman Program, among other alt-comedy favorites—and Community is an intriguing and wholly successful move into mainstream, ready-for-primetime entertainment. A critical and popular success, Community delights with its rapid-fire, off-kilter comedy, its fundamentally humane heart, and a perfectly deployed Chevy Chase as ragingly inappropriate moist towelette tycoon Pierce Hawthorne.

Community is produced by Universal Media Studios and Sony Pictures Television. Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, 8440 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211

CA – Family Guy Panel

Tuesday, March 9, 2010 – 7:00 pm

Seth MacFarlane,
Mila Kunis, “Meg Griffin, Family Guy
Steve Marmel, Writer/Producer
Dan Palladino, Producer, Family Guy
Danny Smith, Executive Producer, Family Guy
Mike Barker, Executive Producer, American Dad
Rich Appel, Executive Producer, The Cleveland Show
Kara Vallow, Producer, Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show
Plus additional guests.

Although he carries on the tradition of hand-drawn animation, producer-writer-director-actor-animator Seth MacFarlane’s satirical view of life is anything but old fashioned. He pushes the envelope as far as possible when it comes to roasting sacred cows, frequently evoking the ire of various religious and parental watchdog groups, much to his delight. MacFarlane reigns over the current Sunday night Fox schedule, with his career-defining Family Guy, only the second animated program ever nominated for the Prime Time Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series; American Dad!, a send-up of jingoism; and The Cleveland Show, which proves his humor can cross racial barriers as it depicts a black family as dysfunctional and hilarious as any he has created.
