NYC – The Odious Ogre Signing

Books of Wonder is thrilled to announce that on Sunday, October 24th, 2010, we will be once again featuring the incredibly talented team of NORTON JUSTER and JULES FEIFFER, the celebrated creators of The Phantom Tollbooth, as they present their hilarious new picture book – The Odious Ogre. This new picture book is the story of a really rotten ogre who is extraordinarily large, exceedingly ugly, unusually angry, constantly hungry, and absolutely merciless. He preys on a little town, until the day he meets a young woman who is not afraid of him. What’s an ogre to do? Written with wit and zest by NORTON JUSTER and illustrated with energy and humor by JULES FEIFFER, this is a picture book gem for the whole family! Starting at 1pm, NORTON JUSTER and JULES FEIFFER will read their new book, take questions from the audience, and then sign copies of all their wonderful books. Don’t miss this chance to meet these two amazing talents! Ages 3 and up. 1-3pm.

DC – The Odious Ogre Signing

Jules Feiffer and Norton Juster sign on September 26, 2010 from 11:00am – 12:00pm.

From the remarkable duo that brought us The Phantom Toll Booth some 49 years ago, this new book features a horrible, terrible ogre. He deploys big words to keep control over his kingdom, crushing his subjects and never being polite–until one day a maiden teaches him a lesson he never forgets. The collaborators blend witty text and perfect illustrations for a humorous tale with a happy ending. (Ages 4-8)
