VT – The Glorkian Warrior and the Mustache of Destiny Signing

Cartoonist James Kochalka appears at Phoenix Books on Saturday, March 19th at 3:00 PM to celebrate the launch of The Glorkian Warrior and the Mustache of Destiny!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: James Kochalka is the author and illustrator of several beloved children’s book series, including Johnny Boo and Dragon Puncher, the second installment of which won an Eisner Award in 2012. His comics for adults have won four Ignatz Awards and a Harvey Award. In 2011 he was named the first Cartoonist Laureate of Vermont. In addition to drawing comics he designs video games (Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork).

ABOUT THE BOOK: The Glorkian Warrior is back, and we are sincerely sorry.
In volume 3 of James Kochalka’s off-kilter science fiction series for young readers, the eponymous hapless space adventurer is joined by three horribly annoying little kids. Everything is terrible, and nothing is okay.

Well, that’s not entirely true. There’s a really great mustache. And a valiant cup of coffee. And a truly dastardly villain. And the Glorkian SuperGrandma even makes an appearance!

With gorgeous, lively illustrations and super silly humor, this third volume in the Glorkian Warrior series is jam-packed with extra-gross gross-out humor and ludicrously bad decisions. Obviously, it’s the best yet.
