Walking Dead Artists Appear at NC Comicon 2015

Charlie Adlard and Stefano Gaudiano appear this weekend November 13-15th at the NC Comicon in a rare opportunity to see both artists from The Walking Dead! This is Charlie’s only US appearance this year! Splash Page Comic Art will be set up at booth A201 to sell Walking Dead original covers and pages!

Charlie will have his own ticketed signing area and special panel appearances. Details available at the link… Inker extraordinaire, Stefano Gaudiano, will signing and sketch at the Splash Page Art booth the entire weekend.

Hero Initiative Announces Special Guests for NYCC 2015

Hero Initiative, the charitable organization dedicated to helping veteran comic creators in medical or financial need, is heading to New York Comic Con, the four-day long show at the Javits Center located at 655 West 34thSt. on October 8-11!

And EXCLUSIVE special guests are the order of the day at Hero’s booth, #N104! Punisher and Uncanny X-Men artist Whilce Portacio will be at Hero’s booth ALL weekend, along with fellow X-Men alum Chris Ivy!

Mike Perkins, artist on Captain America and X-Men will be at the Hero booth on Friday and Saturday afternoons, Oct. 9 and 10, and he’ll be joined by Preacher and Punisher artist Steve Dillon, who’s making the trek all the way from England. Dillon will be at Hero booth and only Hero’s booth Saturday and Sunday afternoon, Oct. 10 and 11. And Hellboy artists Max and Sebastian Fiumara come in from Argentina to make an appearance at Hero’s booth on Saturday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Speaking of which, The Hellboy 100 Project book will be on sale at the booth at $12.99 for softcover and $24.99 for hardcover! The con is a GREAT autograph opportunity. Tampa Bay Comic Con Announces Star-Studded Cast

June 14th, 2013
 – The Tampa Bay Comic Con will take place on August 23-25, 2013 at the Tampa Convention Center! This marks the inaugural Tampa Bay Comic Con to be held at Tampa Convention Center.

The Tampa Bay Comic Con has announced its guest list and it includes primary cast members from Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Hunger Games.

Maisie Williams who portrays Arya Stark, the star and protagonist of the HBO series, Game of Thrones. The Tampa Bay Comic Con will be the first convention in the western hemisphere to feature Maisie Williams.
Rory McCann who portrays Sandor “The Hound” Clegane in the HBO series, Game of Thrones. The Tampa Bay Comic Con will be the first convention in the western hemisphere to feature Rory McCann.
Lauren Cohan who portrays Maggie Greenie in AMC’s hit series, The Walking Dead.
Willow Shields who portrays Primrose Everdeen (sister of Katniss played by Jennifer Lawrence) in the Hunger Games and upcoming sequel, Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

In addition, the following comic artist professionals will be in attendance:

Tampa Bay Comic Con Has Arrived

February 27th, 2012 – The Tampa Bay Comic Con will return this weekend with its brand new two-day format convention. On March 3-4, 2012, convention attendees will be able to experience the Tampa Bay Comic Con’s plethora of brand new features and events!

Be sure to arrive early to pick-up a FREE Tampa Bay Comic Con exclusive poster featuring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes; The Avengers! It is an abstract, fun and colorful interpretation of the Avengers doing battle with a Florida gator atop the Sunshine State’s “flag bridge”–the Skyway Bridge. The poster was created by guest comic book artist, Mike Perkins. Not only did Perkins create the layout and action of the image, but hand-colored the pencil-work himself; it is from start to finish a 100% Perkins created image. The majority of posters were used a promotional tools leading up to the Tampa Bay Comic Con. Quantities to be given away at the Tampa Bay Comic Con are VERY limited (approximately 200 posters).

“Guest of honor” Jim Steranko has also recently confirmed his appearance for BOTH days of the convention, instead of the originally scheduled one-day appearance. Other guests will include: Mike Grell (Green Lantern, Warlord and Green Arrow), Mark Ryan (actor/ writer known for his work in the film series “Transformers” as Bumblebee and writer of  “The Pilgrim”), Mike Mayhew (Marvel Comics artist), Brian Kong (Marvel Comics artist), Peter Pachoumis (DC Comics artist), Pablo Marcos (Conan the Barbarian and Vampirella),  Mike Perkins (Captain America and Stephen King’s, “The Stand”) and  J. Tampa Bay Comic Con will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 3-4, 2012 at the Doubletree Hotel in Tampa, FL from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday.
