  Get ready! The 1st Annual Shock Pop Comiccon launches February 13-15, 2015 at the Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Shock Pop Comiccon is the newest pop culture experience celebrating your favorite movies, television shows, music, comics & animation, and toys & collectibles.  The event will feature an interactive 100,000 square foot show of Celebrities, Comic Artists & Writers, Cosplay, Animation, Music, Anime, Art Exhibits, Vendors, Panels & Autograph sessions, The Karate Kid Reunion, The Stars of Star Trek Continues Web Series, Friday the 13th 35th Anniversary Reunion, Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge 30th Anniversary Reunion, Demons 30th Anniversary Reunion, Fire & Ice Reunion, Geek Film Fest, and an Independent Film Maker Contest.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Sacramento Comic Con show hours are Friday, March 7, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, March 8, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

A first-class lineup of topical programming takes place all three days at the event, with celebrity Q&A’s, comics-themed sessions, costume contest, movie screenings, evening parties and more. Sunday, March 9, is also Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming specially designed for the younger Wizard World fans.

Sacramento Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor, often stopping by the Cosplay Stage, the ideal place to see and be seen.

LOUISVILLE, Ky., February 14, 2014Norman Reedus,Michael Rooker, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies and Scott Wilson of “The Walking Dead,” Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”), Summer Glau (Serenity, “Firefly”), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rudy), and Robert Hays (Airplane!, Paranormal Movie) are among the celebrities scheduled to attend the inaugural Wizard World Louisville Comic Con, March 28-30 at the Kentucky International Convention Center.It is the fourth of 16 events currently scheduled in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known comics artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.

Astin, Bernthal, Callies and Glau will appear on Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29; Smith will attend on Saturday only; the others are scheduled for all three days.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Louisville Comic Con show hours are Friday, March 28, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, March 29, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

A first-class lineup of topical programming takes place all three days at the event, with celebrity Q&A’s, the Wizard World Film Festival, comics-themed sessions, costume contest, movie screenings, evening parties and more. Sunday, March 30, is also Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming specially designed for the younger Wizard World fans.

Louisville Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor, often stopping by the Show Stage, the ideal place to see and be seen.

‘Eleventh Doctor’ In ‘Doctor Who’ Series To Appear At Inaugural Pop Culture Festival At Kentucky International Convention Center

LOUISVILLE, Ky., February 6, 2014 –Matt Smith, who recently completed an acclaimed four-year run as the 11th incarnation of the Doctor in the landmark British television series “Doctor Who,” will appear at the inaugural Wizard World Louisville Comic Con on Saturday, March 29. Smith will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A during the event, held at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

Smith began his acting career on stage, appearing in various popular London theatrical performances before landing the coveted role in “Doctor Who” in 2010. He received a BAFTA Award nomination in 2011 and his final episode, on Christmas Day, was BBC America’s largest audience ever, attesting to both the popularity of the series in America and Smith’s success in the role.

“Doctor Who” fandom is on full display at Wizard World shows. Fans of the series, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a highly-rated program that was simulcast by BBC America at Austin Comic Con, cosplay as numerous characters as well as the TARDIS, the space-time vehicle used in the show.

Other top stars scheduled to appear at Wizard World Louisville Comic Con include Norman Reedus, Michael Rooker, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies and Scott Wilson of “The Walking Dead,” Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rudy), Michael Rosenbaum (“Smallville,” “Justice League”) and Robert Hays (Airplane!, Paranormal Movie).
