Also worked for Marvel, DC and Image Kyle Straham Image Comics, Artist for Hack/Slash Seth Peck Marvel Comics, writer Fear Itself: Wolverine Dennis Hopeless Marvel Comics, writer X-Men Season 1, Legion of Monsers; Image Comics Love Struck Sean Fitzgibbon currently illustrating a documentary style graphic novel that chronicles the Norman Baker years (1938-1939), the darkest years of the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas Mitch Breitweiser Cover and interior artist primarily for Marvel Comics. Since 2005, Mitch has been penciling, inking, and painting his way through dozens of Marvel comic books and covers Elizabeth Breitweiser painter and a former art teacher, turned Marvel exclusive color artist. Our location has over 4500sf available to dealers specializing in Gold/Silver/Copper/Bronze age comics, Graphic Novels, Trade Paperbacks, Toys, Cards, Movies, etc. Admission will be $3.00 Dealers tables are $40.00 for the 1st table, $20 for the second table and $10 each additional table. Guest’s include: Mitch Breitweiser- Cover and interior artist primarily for Marvel Comics. Since 2005, Mitch has been penciling, inking, and painting his way through dozens of Marvel comic books and covers. Mitch has left a lasting impression with his Captain America books including 2010’s Captain America: Patriot Mini Series and the recent Captain America 615.1 Elizabeth Breitweiser- Elizabeth Breitweiser is a painter and a former art teacher, turned Marvel exclusive color artist. Elizabeth currently works on the Captain America & Bucky, and Hulk series. Previous credits include: Captain America, Agents of Atlas, Skaar: Son of Hulk, Incredible Hulk, Girl’s Comics, Amazing Spiderman, Uncanny X-Men, and many more. She resides in downtown Little Rock, AR with her illustrator husband, Mitch Breitweiser, and two biscuit head cats. Adam Smith and Matt Fox- Wet Black Ghost publishing will be promoting their self published works. Mule, a one-shot, about an underground health clinic where people pay a “mule” to take on their sickness via a Dr. Frankenstein type machine. Dusty Higgins- Artist and creator of Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer from SLG Publishing. He is an award winning illustrator and graphic artist at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock, Arkansas. Higgins has created several comic strips including The Anarchist and God, the Devil, and a Monkey. Will Mangin- (Official Transformers Collectors Club) is one of several fans who have made the jump to working on official Transformers product. His main work has been profile art for the Hasbro Transformers Collectors’ Club magazine. Charles Martin- Literati Press in OKC. Debuted the first issue of the self published digital novel The Wonderboy Serials in the spring of 2011. Other works include 2008’s “the dominant hand”, 2010’s “Edward and the Island”. Literati Press splits its effort between comics and fiction novels, all with a subculture bent. We gravitate more towards unique and weird ideas rather than fads and cookie-cutter genre work. John Lucas- Penciller and inker for published works by Marvel, DC, Darkhorse and Top Cow. Most recent work includes Uncanny X-Force, Batman Streets of Gotham and Red Robin. Previous works include Superman: Man of Steel, Xmen Unlimited. Stop by his table for more info on his upcoming works, Shang-Chi Master of Kung Fu, The Haunt and more. Ric Croxton- 2010-2011 Echoes Award Winner, will have his weekly podcast and archive tapes available. Ric’s podcasts are about books, comics, pulps, movie serials, old time radio and tv series. Arkansas’s 501st Legion- Since 1997, the costuming organization known as the 501st Legion has spread the magic of the Star Wars genre worldwide through its authentic-looking costumes, and has become the leading force in fan-based charity events. Will be recruiting onsite Starfleet- For over 35 years, STARFLEET has provided Star Trek fans a way to meet each other, make friends, have fun, give back to their communities, and show that the dream of Gene Roddenberry can live long and prosper. Will be recruiting for the International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. Tony Bates- Webmaster of Arkansas Geek Central, the website for Geeks, Nerds, Trekkies/Trekkers, science fiction buffs, cosplayers, programmers, artists, web designers, etc residing in Arkansas. This site was created to inform the Geeks of Arkansas and surrounding areas about upcoming events that are of interest (including this site). |

Michael Golden Makes 1st Texas Appearance in 20 Years at Dallas Comic Con

Dallas ComiCon Kicks Up Great Guest List–Michael Golden Added!
First Appearance in Texas in over 20 years!
Dallas, Tx– Everything IS bigger in Texas!…Or so they say, and considering the line-up at this month’s Dallas ComiCon, we sure can’t deny that old adage–especially since artist/creator Michael Golden is heading to the Lone Star state for his first appearance there in OVER 20 years.

Scheduled for January 30-31 at the Richardson Civic Center, The Dallas ComiCon is fast becoming a true destination for fans of comics, movies, media and more!
“I am also very happy to be returning to my home state and bringing Michael with me,” says Renee Witterstaetter of Eva Ink Publishing. “We’re looking forward to showing some new items at the event and meeting some new fans and friends. I should even have a preview copy of Michael’s new sketchbook, ‘MORE Heroes and Villains.’ ”
With recent work on “Spiderman,” “Hulk,” and new pieces coming for “Planet of the Apes,” “Mouse Templar,” and much more, Michael has long been known for his storytelling work on “Spartan X,” “Bucky O’Hare,” “The ‘Nam,” “Micronauts,” “G.I. Joe,” “Doctor Strange,” “Star Wars,”….the list goes on and on! In fact, be looking for announcements about his upcoming storytelling class in the near future–in a city near you.
“I’m designing this course to be relevant for writers, artists or anyone interested in crafting an effective tale,” says Golden about the upcoming workshop.

Michael Golden's Heroes & Villains Sketchbook
To mark his return to Texas in the meantime, Golden will be available both days of the show to sign, and do limited sketching during convention hours. He’ll also be debuting three new art prints added to his portfolio just in time for DCC, as well as showcasing two art books “Excess: The Art of Michael Golden,” from Vanguard Productions and “Michael Goldens: Heroes and Villains” sketchbook from Eva Ink Publishing.
