Drawn Together unites storytellers from around the country to support Access Books and school libraries. This once-in-a-lifetime event features four famous children’s book authors and illustrators: Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), Dav Pilkey (Captain Underpants), Lincoln Peirce (Big Nate) and Stephan Pastis (Timmy Failure, Pearls Before Swine). During Drawn Together, the authors will discuss writing, drawing, and the creative process to an enthusiastic crowd. Julie Bowen from the hit ABC comedy Modern Family will be our Mistress of Ceremonies.
Doors open on Saturday June 20, 2015 at noon for book, t-shirt, and poster purchases; event starts at 1:00 p.m.
Following the presentation, fans will have the opportunity to meet the authors and have their event tickets or posters signed.

This will be a ticketed event for up to 800 people. To make this a fun and safe event, everyone in line will be required to have a ticket (no exceptions!). The event will take place live at Metairie Park Country Day School (300 Park Road, Metairie, LA 70005) on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 6:00 PM (Doors open 5:30PM).
To attend, you must purchase a ticket. Each $10 ticket admits one person and counts toward the purchase of books at the event or toward the pre-purchase of signed Jon Scieszka’s forthcoming FRANK EINSTEIN (Aug. 2014) or Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid #9 (Nov. 2014).

Mr. Kinney is here in conjunction with the Celebration of Reading event. A portion of the proceeds from the books purchased for the signing will be used to help promote literacy.
Wristbands will be issued starting at 10:00 am. You must purchase a copy of at least one of his books to get a wristband. Only one book can be brought from home to be signed. Due to the expected crowd size, Mr. Kinney will only be signing his name. Photos are allowed during signing, but no posed pictures.
