UK – 100th Doctor Who Signing

Jenny T Colgan, Paul Cornell, Russell T Davies, James Goss, Steven Moffat and artist Anthony Dry sign THE DOCTOR WHO TARGET COLLECTION at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Friday 13th April from 6 – 7pm.

Celebrating our ONE HUNDREDTH Doctor Who signing, we’re delighted to be hosting the very first signing event for creators Steven Moffat and Russell T Davies together, and alongside some of the show’s best fiction writers – Jenny T Colgan, Paul Cornell and James Goss. The Target titles, from BBC Books, are the first novelisations of the new post-2005 series and include the first Douglas Adams novelisation, Russell T Davies’s and Steven Moffat’s first novelisations of their own episodes, and Steven Moffat’s very first novel.

And, as an extra bonus, we’re offering a free poster for anyone who attends on the day and buys all five novels.

Make a date in your calendar, and don’t miss this fantastic opportunity!

PLEASE NOTE: These titles are sold out to pre-order and can no longer be purchased in advance of the event. Signed copies will still be available at the event itself.

PLEASE NOTE: To ensure that the event runs smoothly and that everyone gets their chance to meet our guests, they will ONLY be signing copies of the Target titles.

There will be no opportunity for posed photographs, but a member of staff will be on hand to take your phone and snap a picture.

UK – Dr. Who: The Missy Chronicles Signing

Join Cavan Scott, James Goss, Peter Anghelides, and Richard Dinnick, signing THE MISSY CHRONICLES at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Saturday 3rd March from 1 – 2pm.

Know your frenemy.

‘I’ve had adventures too. My whole life doesn’t revolve around you, you know.’

When she’s not busy amassing armies of Cybermen, or manipulating the Doctor and his companions, Missy has plenty of time to kill (literally). In this all new collection of stories about the renegade Time Lord we all love to hate, you’ll discover just some of the mad and malevolent activities Missy gets up to while she isn’t distracted by the Doctor.

So please try to keep up.

Cavan Scott has written for such popular series as Star Wars, Star Trek, Vikings, Warhammer 40,000 and, of course, Doctor Who. He’s the writer of Titan Comic’s ongoing adventures of the Ninth Doctor and was one of the 2016 World Book Day authors.

James Goss has adapted three Doctor Who stories by Douglas Adams for BBC Books (City of Death, The Pirate Planet, and The Krikkitmen). He’s also written several original Doctor Who and Torchwood books and his novel #Haterz is in development as a motion picture.

Peter Anghelides has written novels, audios, and short fiction for BBC Books, Virgin Publishing and Big Finish Productions. Frontier Worlds won Doctor Who Magazine’s Readers’ Poll, and SFX placed The Ancestor Cell in the year’s Top Ten TV tie-ins.

Richard Dinnick is writer of TV, books and comics for the BBC, ITV and Disney writing on Thunderbirds Are Go, Tree Fu Tom and Go Jetters amongst others. He has written books and short stories for Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes and Stargate.

UK – Now We Are 600 Signing

James Goss signs Now We Are 600 at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Saturday 2nd September from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.

PART OF OUR DOCTOR WHO DAY CELEBRATIONS!

NOW WE ARE SIX HUNDRED is a gentle collection of charming, funny and whimsical poems that celebrate the joys, sorrows and wonders of Time Lord life. Written by James Goss, it features illustrations by former Doctor Who Executive Producer Russell T Davies – his first role as an illustrator using the comic artist skills he developed in his youth.

James Goss has adapted three Doctor Who stories by Douglas Adams for BBC Books (City of Death, The Pirate Planet and The Kirikketmen). He’s also written several original Doctor Who and Torchwood books. His novel Hatez is in development as a motion picture, and he’s written for the stage and the radio. This is his first (and probably only) volume of poetry.

Join Patrick Ness, the creator and writer of the new smash BBC 3 series, Class – plus writers Guy Adams and James Goss – signing books based on the series at our London Megastore on 18th November at 6:00pm.

Currently running on BBC3, this new Doctor Who spin-off show is set at Coal Hill School, which has a special significance for Doctor Who fans: it’s not only the primary school where the Doctor’s most recent companion, Clara Oswald, taught but it featured in the very first Doctor Who episode in 1963.

Class centres on the adventures of an all-new group of students at Coal Hill, and features action, heart and adrenaline – plus dangers breaking through the walls of time and space, a darkness coming to a London unprotected, a new group of heroes to root for, and new villains to hide from behind the sofa.
