I can’t tell you how excited we are to have these two amazingly talented individuals joining us at the store on Wednesday, January 27th! Jacob Chabot is known for his recent work on the hit Marvel book X-Babies and Dark Horse’s Mighty Skullboy Army! Joining him will be Chris “G” Giarrusso creator of the very awesome G-Man comics and artist of the wildly popular book Mini Marvels. They’ll be here signing copies of their books and doing sketches so make sure you come down and show your support! All their work is very kid friendly so make sure you bring the little ones along! We cant wait!!!

We’re happy to have our buddy Chris Giarrusso (G-Man, Mini Marvels) return for a special release of the first ever Acme Comics exclusive variant, complete with 100% original cover art! Stay tuned for an advanced unveiling of the art over the next couple of weeks and months!
We’re also delighted to play host for the X-Babies #1 Release Party with writer Gregg Schigiel (Pix, SpongeBob Squarepants), who also serves as Stephen’s partner-in-crime on the RE: Comics! column here on Acme Comics.com, and Eisner award-nominated artist Jacob Chabot (The Mighty Skullboy Army, Marvel Assistant-Sized Spectacular)!

Mid-Ohio-Con today announced that Ray Park and James Kyson Lee will headline Mid-Ohio-Con 2009 as special media guests. Park is best known as Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and he will star in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra opening on August 7th. James Kyson Lee is best known for his starring role as Ando Masahashi in Heroes, which will return to NBC for its 4th season this fall.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have these two superstars on board for our 2009 show,” said James Henry, Managing Director of Mid-Ohio-Con. “Mid-Ohio-Con 2008 was acclaimed as one of the best events in Mid-Ohio-Con’s long history and we’re going to recreate last year’s magic with a who’s who of the leading names from the worlds of comic books, gaming, film, and television at this year’s show.”
