About This Convention
The Albany Comic Con is the premiere comic book, and collectibles show in the Capital district of upstate New York. Now in it’s 6th year, and growing every year. The show features comic books for collectors of all ages.

The areas best dealers, and professionals all come together to make the show a full blown convention, but with the intimacy you can’t find at the larger national conventions. We promote two shows a year, one in the Spring, close to FCBD. the other in the fall, close to Halloween. It’s the shows mission to continue to grow the comics medium. Expand audience awareness of comic books, and the fun and excitement they provide.

Connecticut ComiCONN adds more Comic Legends to 3 Day Event!

Connecticut ComiCONN celebrates its 5th annual event with a move to the Webster Bank Arena and expands to a 3-Day event!

To meet the demands of its’ ever-growing fan base, Connecticut ComiCONN (a.k.a. ComiCONN) has moved to a larger venue and added additional days to its con to be held August 15-17 at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT.

ComiCONN has been providing fans of comic books, collectibles and cosplay an event to come out and celebrate their passion for years and is the Nutmeg State’s largest event of its kind. “ComiCONN has always been called “a show for the fans by the fans”, said ComiCONN organizer, Mitch Hallock, “For that reason we are assembling three days saluting the glory of comics with some of their greatest creators”.

ComiCONN will also host panels, live music, costume and trivia contests for kids and adults and a whole lot more. Boston Comic Con has announced their schedule for the 2013 convention! Family Outreach of Amherst, a program of CHD, presents its 10th Annual Salute to Families Lecture Series titled “Heroes in Our Midst.” The event features a panel discussion with the wonderfully talented Dan Slott, head writer for the Amazing Spider-Man comic books, Sarah Kinney, co-author of the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys graphic novels and freelance comic artist Jack Purcell whose work includes Spider-Man, Batman and Batgirl. Pulitzer prize winning journalist and UMass professor, Madeleine Blais will moderate the discussion. A reception and book signing will follow the program. This is a fundraising event for Family Outreach of Amherst.

One of the most requested guests for any convention, we are ecstatic to have the opportunity to bring him to meet his New England fans. Campbell first exploded on the scene in the 90s with his first book, Gen 13. His dynamic storytelling and reputation for illustrating some of the most attractive women in the industry continued wth his follow-up project, Danger Girl. His covers currently grace titles including Spider-Man, Wolverine, GI Joe, and many more! Be sure to catch his panel with fellow cover artists JG Jones, Adam Hughes and Dave Johnson!
