Hero Initiative breezes into the Windy city of Chicago for C2E2 With special Guest Brian Azzarello

Los Angeles (April 10, 2014) - Hero Initiative, the non-profit organization that aids comic creators in medical and financial need, breezes into the windy of Chicago to attend the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, also known as C2E2, located at McCormick Place April 25-27. Joining us is the well-known writer of 100 Bullets and Wonder Woman, Brian Azzarello! Hero’s booth, #836, will be the ONLY place Azzarello is doing signings. Brian will be at the Hero booth:

Friday, April 25, 11:30 a.m-1:30 p.m.

Sunday, April 27, 12:30 p.m-1:30 p.m. and again 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

On Sunday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., make sure you head to the Sharp Comics booth, #1317. Artist Bob Layton will be signing Gold Key/Dynamite Comics variant covers for Hero at the booth!

And you can celebrate the return of defensive end Israel Idonije to the Chicago Bears with signed Protectors prints for $25! The prints are signed by Idonije, plus Ron Marz and Bart Sears, the writer and artist of Protectors from Athleta Comics.

HI C2E2 2013 Booth ScheduleLos Angeles (April 9, 2013) Hero Initiative, the non-profit organization that aids comic creators in medical and financial need, is breezing into the windy of Chicago to attend the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, also known as C2E2, located at McCormick Place.

Hero will have an all-star lineup of guests including John McCrea, the artist on IDW Publishing’s Mars Attacks!series and Gene Ha, the acclaimed artist of Top 10.

In addition, Hero Initiative is proud to have longtime Chicago Bears defensive end Israel Idonije as he launches his new comic, The Protectors, from Athleta Comics. Idonije will be on hand with Protectors writer Ron Marz and artist Bart Sears for one hour on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. Fans will need to purchase an autograph ticket at the Hero booth, #829 on the floor, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The $25 ticket gets you a limited edition, exclusive color image of Idonije in his trademark #71 jersey by Bart Sears. Idonije, Marz and Sears will be there to sign it, PLUS you can bring one additional item of your own to be signed by Idonije. There is a strict limit of ONE ticket per person. Don’t miss out!

And Hero encourages fans to seek out the many creators on the show floor asking for donations to Hero Initiative for their signatures. Israel Idonije is coming to Challengers on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm! The longtime Chicago Bear has a brand new comic book company, Athleta Comics. To celebrate the release of their first super-hero title THE PROTECTORS, Israel will be on hand to sign copies of the Collector’s Item issue #0, and he’s also bringing PROTECTORS t-shirts!
