Comic legend George Pérez appears at Larry’s Comics on Monday September 22nd from 6:00-8:00 PM to promote his new Boom Studios series: Sirens! This is a rare New England store signing by one of the biggest creators in the industry so mark your calendars now!

One of the most popular artists working in comics over the last 30 years, George Pérez’s resume contains a who’s-who of the most popular characters in comics. From his co-creation, with Marv Wolfman, of THE NEW TEEN TITANS in the 80s and his work on CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS and WONDER WOMAN to his mega-successful JLA/AVENGERS, George’s work has thrilled comics fans for over three decades.

NC – Savage Wolverine Signing

Superstar comic artist Phil Jimenez (Infinite Crisis, Wonder Woman, New X-Men) and new comic writer/ animal advocate Scott Lope at Jake’s Memory Lane Comics on Saturday March 15th at 1:00 pm.

MLC is teaming up with Jimenez, Lope and, of course, the Savage Wolverine to fight Rhino poaching. 100 percent of the proceeds of Savage Wolverine 12 and 13 from our store will be donated to Animal Warriors to help take the fight to the poachers. This is a great family friendly event. We have plenty of copies to get signed by the Marvel Comics creators. The signing starts at 1pm.

In addition to the signing, we’ll have some crazy good specials, including a fifty cent comic sale!

Born and raised in southern California, and trained at NYC’s School of Visual Arts, Phil Jimenez has worked in comics since 1991. He first gained recognition for his work on Tempest. His later works including pencilling stints on The Invisibles, JLA/Titans, and Planetary/Authority. Phil finished a two year run on DC Comics’ Wonder Woman, worked with Grant Morrison on New X-Men, and co-authored The DC Comics Encyclopedia. He is also the penciller on DC’s Infinite Crisis.

NYC – Brightest Day Signing

 

Ivan Reis and Joe Prado sign at Midtown Comics Grand Central on Tuesday May 17th from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.

Ivan Reis is an artist exclusive to DC and has penciled such titles as Action Comics, Green Lantern, Justice League of America, Rann-Thanagar War, The Authority, Wildcats, Teen Titans, 52, Superman, Countdown, Infinite Crisis, Green Lantern: Blackest Night and Brightest Day.

Joe Prado got his first American comics work sharing penciling duties with Ivan Reis on Action Comics for DC Comics. Since then, he’s worked on such titles as Superman, Teen Titans, Birds of Prey, Rann/Thanagar War and Brightest Day.

Both Ivan Reis and Joe Prado are set to draw the upcoming Aquaman series written by Green Lantern scribe Geoff Johns.

HeroesCon welcomes Ed McGuinness in the latest update to the guest list! Ed’s Capcom-influenced art style has helped blur the lines between Eastern and Western interpretations of Marvel and DC’s iconic superheroes. With great runs on Deadpool, Superman, Superman/Batman, and The Hulk, Ed has made an indelible mark on mainstream American comic books. On top of all that, Ed is a great guy and HeroesCon is very happy to have him back.

Also joining HeroesCon this year is Ed’s former editor at DC Comics, Eddie Berganza. Eddie is the executive editor of the DC Universe line. A 19-year veteran of DC, Berganza oversees high-profile events like Infinite CrisisFinal Crisis, Blackest Night and their latest crossover event, Flashpoint.

Phil, known for his work as writer/artist on Wonder Woman, as one of the pencilers of the DC miniseries Infinite Crisis, and his collaborations with writer Grant Morrison on New X-Men and The Invisibles. Phil’s most recent works include his run on Amazing Spider-Man, Astonishing X-Men with writer Warren Ellis, and Adventure Comics with writer Paul Levitz.
