LOS ANGELES, June 11, 2015 – FX Networks is bringing fan favorites Archer, American Horror Story and The Strain to Comic-Con in San Diego this July along with Denis Leary’s new comedySex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. Each series will feature screenings, panel discussions, press rooms and autograph signings at SDCC. As an added bonus, FX will present an exclusive sneak preview of Kurt Sutter’s new series The Bastard Executioner, which will debut on FX this fall.

Pretty Good Friends is a Brooklyn-based comedy collective created by long-time collaborators Eugene Mirman and Julie Smith Clem. Their eponymous standup comedy show is hosted by Eugene Mirman, and features his funniest and most talented friends. Dr. Katz Live is a stage variation of the animated show, “Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist,” created by Jonathan Katz and Tom Snyder for Comedy Central. It premiered twenty years ago in May of 1995, earning the network its first Emmy and Peabody awards and introducing the term “squigglevision” to the English language. The show has rightfully gone on to become a cult classic.
The live version (much like the cartoon version) of Dr. Katz, brings well-known standups to the good doctor’s couch, using the quirks and idiosyncrasies of their comedy acts to analyze their various conflicted issues. The stage version also finds Dr. Katz in therapy with his own shrink, Dr. Snyder. H. Jon Benjamin revives his role as Dr. Katz’s son, Ben. Fans of Archer will be treated to an exclusive screening of an original short animation piece created specifically for SDCC, plus the upcoming never-before-seen season six premiere episode. Sons of Anarchy fans can expect some exclusive first-look footage from the upcoming seventh and final season while American Horror Story: Coven will take a look back at the recent installment and tease the upcoming American Horror Story: Freak Show. To round out the weekend, The Strain will show the never-before-seen third episode airing July 27 as well as an extended recap reel of the season so far.
