WV – Girls with Slingshots Exhibition

Danielle Corsetto, creator of Girls with Slingshots, opens a gallery exhibition at Shepherd University’s Frank Center Gallery on Monday October 1, 2012. An alumna of the university, Corsetto will conduct an artist’s talk from 5:00-6:00pm with a reception to immediately follow from 6:00-8:00pm. Corsetto says on her blog, “If you’ve missed out on panels at conventions before (or never been to a convention at all), this would be a great opportunity for you to ask me about webcomics.”

Danielle says on her blog: The Rochester get-together – at the same Boulder Coffee as always – is fairly impromptu and casual, as I haven’t even really, uh, heard back from the manager yet. Heh. :)

Let’s just say I’ll be there no matter what, and as long as they allow me to sell stuff, I’ll have all five books and will be drawing along with anyone who brings a sketchbook. Either way, I’ll probably draw shit for you if you ask real nice – that I know I’m allowed to do!

While I’m up north visiting friends, I’ll be schlepping a box or two of GWS Volume 5 with me (along with the rest of the books) to my favorite city, Toronto. :) I’ll be selling & signing at Paradise Comics on Yonge Street January 19th from 4-7.

Please join us afterwards for drinks & food at Nearby Bar Whose Name Escapes Me! If you were there last year, you’ll remember; this has been our traditional hang-out after any Paradise signing, and is within walking distance to the shop. Hope to see you guys there!

So Jess Fink of Chester 5000 fame (NSFW!) has done some fabulous work getting us a reservation at Zero Gravity for LASER TAG this Friday night in Albany!

From 7:00 to whenever (it closes at midnight) we’ll be SHOOTING LASERS AT EACH OTHER for the reduced rate of $5 per game, and selling stuff in between! I’ll have all four GWS books ($20 per or $35 for two; free personalization!) and Jess will be bringing stuff too!

To save on the party price we will NOT have refreshments, so please feed yourselves beforehand!
