CA – Ten Magic Butterflies Signing

Danica McKellar, actress, math whiz, and bestselling author, appears on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM for a reading, Q & A, and book signing at Children’s Book World. In her delightful new picture book in the McKellar Math series, Ten Magic Butterflies, readers will join ten flower friends for a night of excitement that mixes a little math with a lot of magic. As each flower turns into a butterfly, children will discover different ways to group numbers to create ten, an essential building block of math, all while watching each flower’s dream come true.

In 2007, Danica released her first book, Math Doesn’t Suck, for middle grade kids. Presenting math lessons in the style of a teen magazine, this groundbreaking book became an instant success. The mission of McKellar Math is to explain math concepts in fun, easy-to-digest ways with colorful analogies and simple tricks, and to show kids that math is an inherent part of the world around them. McKellar Math gives kids the tools they need to succeed in math and to build the confidence that comes from feeling smart.
