Over 200 vendors will be offering a wide assortment from dollar box comics to super-rare comics. Posters, books, graphic novels, T-shirts, art, toys, and many other collectible items will be sold. And on Sunday afternoon, the East Coast Comicon Cosplay Contest will award $500 for the best costume. Many other prizes and trophies will be awarded. The contest begins at 4 pm.

He previously recorded two albums with Florida’s Monstrosity before leaving and joining Cannibal Corpse in late 1995, replacing former vocalist, Chris Barnes, who is now the vocalist for Six Feet Under. He also provided guest vocals for New York technical death metal band Suffocation on the songs “Reincremation” and “Mass Obliteration” from their debut album, Effigy of the Forgotten, as well as guest vocals for California deathcore band Suicide Silence, on the song “Control” from their fourth album, You Can’t Stop Me. Fisher also performed guest vocals on Job for a Cowboy’s 2014 album Sun Eater, on the song “The Synthetic Sea”. As a death metal vocalist, Fisher employs the “death growl” extended vocal technique.

Fisher voices the Metal Masked Assassin in the Adult Swim animated series Metalocalypse which airs at midnight on the Cartoon Network. He was also the inspiration for the character Nathan Explosion, the lead vocalist for Dethklok. Nathan shares a similar physical appearance to George, headbangs in a windmill fashion, and also lived in Florida, although Fisher was born in Baltimore and moved to Florida later in life.

Blizzard Entertainment implemented a non-player character named “Gorge the Corpsegrinder” into World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King after his interest in the game was revealed in interviews. George was invited on stage and performed at Blizzcon 2011 with Level 90 Elite Tauren Chieftain. He was also seen attending the Convention as a participant.

clermont-laughtonparchmentbanner1Laughton Parchment was born in Morant Bay, Saint Thomas in eastern Jamaica and moved to England when he was 18 years old. At age 25 he started a company in furniture design and manufacture that he has grown over 40 years.

In addition to knowing his way around tools, he was busy doing voice over work for BBC Radio WM in Birmingham, spent time developing his craft as a professional singer while simultaneously dabbling in writing fiction. After he and his wife moved to Florida in 2006, he published his first book, “The Mulberry Bush” in 2008, his second novel, “The Night Hawker” in 2013, and the third “Margaret”…released in August 2014.

As he was finishing his fourth book, in September, 2014 (My Father’s Woman), he was diagnosed with stage two Prostate cancer. He decided to put that book on hold and began a new project to document his journey with cancer. This project explores his experiences with diagnosis, treatment, side effects, and the exceptional help he received from the Florida Hospital, Waterman, in spite of having no medical Insurance.

This latest book will be titled…”Prostate Cancer Picked On The Wrong Guy” and is scheduled to be released in December 2015.

He is presently beating the hell out of prostate cancer because it has no idea what it was taking on when it crawled into his space.

clermont-dimitribannerDimitri Diatchenko is a native of San Francisco and a first-generation American; his father is Ukrainian and his mother is of Greek and Swedish descent. Diatchenko began classical guitar lessons at the age of seven. Two years later he gave his first solo classical guitar recital. During and after his studies, Dimitri Diatchenko has won several medals in guitar competitions like the Stotsenberg International Classical Guitar Competition or the World Championships of Performing Arts. Furthermore he released four solo guitar CD’s.

Dimitri Diatchenko attended Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts and later Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. There he was a scholarship music student, majored in classical guitar and received the Bachelor of Music. After transferring to Florida State University in Tallahassee, Dimitri Diatchenko continued with his acting and music studies in the Masters program. In April 1996, as Dimitri Diatchenko was graduating with his Masters degree from Florida State University -he received the Master of Music from the university-, he was cast in Ridley Scott’s 1997 action film G.I. Jane and landed a small role as trainee; following this, Dimitri Diatchenko relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career further. In Los Angeles, he also teaches guitar privately and performs regularly as a soloist and ensemble player.

Dimitri Diatchenko’s acting career began in the late 1990s, as he made appearances on several television series during this time. After appearing on the action television series Alias, some of his most well-known roles to date came in 2008, as he appeared in the motion pictures Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Get Smart. For his performance as Ukrainian tour guide Yuri in the actual film Chernobyl Diaries, Diatchenko received good critics from some film reviewers.

In addition to acting, Diatchenko works as voice actor. He lent his voice to a lot of video and computer games. His first work in a video game came in 2005, as he provided additional voices for Medal of Honor: European Assault. Currently Diatchenko is in Evolve, and Fallout 4 and can be seen in the 2016 horror film They’re Watching.

A student of the Dick Smith’s Advanced Professional Makeup Course, Scott Fensterer’s passion for special effects makeup has morphed into a lifelong career in art. He has continued to evolve as an artist, sculpting maquettes, toy and hobby prototypes, life-sized museum figures and private commissions for collectors the world over. Following a personal “reboot,” Scott has turned his attention back to his first love of special effects makeup.

The Masked Saint won Best Picture at the 2015 International Christian Film Festival.

As editor, Roland is best known for his work at Malibu/Marvel Comics where he edited the Protectors and many Ultraverse titles. Roland is a frequent speaker at writing workshops/conferences. He teaches writing for comics and animation at Full Sail University.

NECOMICCON Winter Show

The Northeast Comic Con and Collectibles Extravaganza returns to the Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington MA Saturday and Sunday Dec. 5 & 6, 2015 with a line-up of family fun including Celebrity guests, K!DZ Activities, Cosplay, Video Games and Holiday Shopping.

As a special event offering the largest selection of Collectibles, Geek Crafts, Comics, Toys, Comic Art and Pop Culture Artifacts for sale in New England, this show has become the Holiday Shopping show for Nerds and the people who love them.  Everything a Fan or Collector could possibly want, that you could not find anywhere else, is displayed on over 300 tables from vendors travelling from 10 states.

Comic books are a main stay of any comic con, but at the Collectibles Extravaganza there will also be action figures, die-cast, vintage and antique toys, along with records, magazines, posters, trading cards, books and autographs.

Featured celebrity cast reunion this year will be the kids from “A Christmas Story,” the 1983 film classic shown on TV constantly from Thanksgiving thru Christmas, detailing the nostalgic story of a group of friends revolving around a Red Ryder BB gun and a suburban family during the holidays. Zack Ward (Scut Farkus), Scott Schwartz (Flick), Ian Petrella (Randy) and Yano Anaya (Grover Dill) will be appearing to sign autographs and offering photo ops, including a re-created set from the movie featuring Santa Claus (Sal Lizard).

Also appearing will be Marta Kristen and Mark Goddard of the 1965 TV series “Lost In Space” celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary, along with full size replicas of the “Lost In Space” Robot and the Robinson family’s Chariot.

Artists guest of honor is George Perez, a legend in Marvel and DC comic history, who will be sketching and signing.

Added guests include “Mighty Morphin Power RangersCatherine Sutherland (Pink Ranger) and Nakia Burrise (Yellow Ranger), “Spider-Man” Comics cover artist Joe St. Pierre, “Guardians of the Galaxy” comic artist Joe Caramagna, “The Little Mermaid” artist Philo Barnhart, “Archie” comic artist Alex Simmons and Muppet puppeteer Noel MacNeal.

A special Voice Actors Workshop offers people interested in how to be a voice actor a first hand look a careers in voice acting led by 3 veterans of “Sonic Boom,” TV and video games, Mike Pollock, Cindy Robinson and Bill Freiberger.

About This Convention
Come out to the 6th annual So Cal Comic Con on Sunday, October 18th, from 10am-5pm, at the QLN Conference Center in Oceanside! Kids 13 and under, and any member of the military, get in for FREE! Our Guest of Honor for this year’s show is Rob Liefeld, who is the creator of Cable, X-Force, and Deadpool, as well as the creator and publisher of titles like Youngblood and Bloodstrike.

The 1st 100 people in line get a FREE gift bag STUFFED with cool comics. There are raffles throughout the day where you can win prizes like signed comics, original artwork, and toy packages! Dozens of comic and toy vendors are on hand to sell your favorite Golden, Silver, Bronze, or Modern Age comics and toys. Check out our 1st annual Costume Contest and panel discussions throughout the day. IDW Publishing and Darby Pop will be in attendance, along with numerous comic creators, including:

Hero Initiative, the non-profit that aids comic book veterans in medical and financial need, is kicking off the 2015 Orlando MegaCon in an all-new and exciting way!

Hero Board of Directors member George Pérez will be the grand marshal and lead the way for the first-ever MegaWalk, a simple and fun one-mile walk that leads participants right into the 2015 MegaCon.

For $40, participants get an exclusive T-shirt, a super-cool race bling medal, and coupon for a swag bag at the Coliseum of Comics booth at the con! All proceeds benefit Hero Initiative.

The walk starts at the Orange County Convention Center, home of MegaCon, Friday April, 10 at 11 a.m. The doors to MegaCon open at noon!

“With all the heroes I’ve drawn, I take great joy in being able to walk to MegaCon with some real-life heroes on behalf of Hero Initiative,” said George Pérez. “All are welcome. Let’s make this more than a walk—Let’s make this a Parade! See you all there!”

The MegaWalk takes place indoors at the Orange County Convention Center, so it will go on, rain or shine. MegaWalk does not include admission to MegaCon, which must be purchased separately at MegaConvention.com
