William Shatner Comes to Emerald City Comicon 2011

To begin with, we have our first media guest, none other than the original Captain James T. Kirk – WILLIAM SHATNER! Mr. Shatner will be appearing Saturday only, with a possible Sunday appearance depending on his schedule. Our media announcements are just beginning, but what better way to kick it off than with a bang!

NYCC 2010 Unveils Artist Alley

NEW YORK COMIC CON ANNOUNCES 300 GUESTS IN ARTIST ALLEY AND THE LIST IS GROWING!

New York Comic Con’s Newly Added Artists Include J. Scott Campbell, Tom DeFalco, Steve Scott, Mark Morales, among many others …

Norwalk, CT, July 29, 2010:  New York Comic Con (NYCC) has announced the preliminary line up of artists who will be appearing in Artist Alley this year.  More than 300 guests have already signed up and show officials note that the list will continue to grow as the annual pop culture convention gets closer.  This compares with 250 artists who appeared in Artist Alley last year.   NYCC, which will be co-located with the New York Anime Festival (NYAF) in 2010, will take place October 8 – 10 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.  Among the artists who have joined the top headliners in Artist Alley include:  J. Scott Campbell, Jimmy Cheung, Chris Claremont, Geof Darrow, Tom DeFalco, Leo Leibelman, Mark Morales, Steve Scott, and Leinil Francis Yu.

“This is an awesome Artist Alley and it’s only going to get better,” notes Lance Fensterman, Vice President for ReedPOP and Show Manager for both NYCC and NYAF.  “It certainly underscores how popular the venue is, and how much the fans want to see and talk to these incredible artists.  Artist Alley is an unparalleled opportunity since it offers a unique chance to get up close to some of the best artists working today.  We are incredibly pleased to be able to facilitate this kind of ‘up close’ communication and interaction.  Across the board, this is going to be New York Comic Con’s best year ever!”

J. SCOTT CAMPBELL: J. Scott Campbell is a renowned illustrator and a world famous comic book artist with over a decade and a half in the business. Best known for his landmark series Danger Girl, where he served as both creator and artist, Scott has also created a huge fan-base over the years from his work on such titles as Gen 13, Spider-Man, Wildsiderz and most recently his very first pin-up calendar FairyTale Fantasies, featuring his very recognizable, sexy and playful girly art. An all around talent, Campbell has also dabbled in the fields of film design, video games, toys, animation, commercial art, and self publishing. His current projects include upcoming interiors on Spider-Man in addition to many high profile covers for Marvel Comics.

JIM CHEUNG: Originally hailing from the UK, Jim now resides in Florida, pencilling exclusively for Marvel Comics. He is currently working on a new Young Avengers project with Allan Heinberg as well as providing covers for the Secret Warriors series. His past projects for Marvel have included Iron Man, X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, Illuminati and New Avengers, and he is responsible for co-creating the Young Avengers and Scion for Crossgen Comics.

CHRIS CLAREMONT:  Writer Chris Claremont’s stories have achieved best-seller status, won numerous awards, and are trend-setters for the industry. Although best known for his work on Marvel Comic’s X-Men series, he has written other seminal characters such as Batman and Superman; originated several creator-owned series; is published throughout the world in many different languages; authored nine novels; and has had his first video game premier in Spring 2006.  In total, Chris has sold approximately 500,000,000 comics, world wide.  Chris is also known for his progressive treatment of women in a genre that oftentimes relies on stereotype. Active, intelligent, courageous women characters such as Jean Grey, Kitty Pryde, and Storm have made Chris’s X-Men as popular with women readers as men. The Summer of 2000 saw the release of the feature film, X-Men, based largely on material created by Chris. The sequel, X-2, contains characters and key story elements from Chris’s best-selling graphic novel, God Loves, Man Kills. X-Men: The Last Stand, released in May 2006, is grounded in the Dark Phoenix saga. The forthcoming second Wolverine movie is based largely on the graphic novel, Wolverine, by Chris and Frank Miller.  Current projects include the on-going Marvel series X-Men Forever, the one-shot X-Women, drawn by renowned Italian artist Milo Manara, and several exciting, soon-to-be announced prose projects.

GEOF DARROW: Geof Darrow was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and studied drawing at the Chicago Acadamy of Fine Arts and Hanna-Barbera School of Frustration. He has lived and worked in four countries: U.S.A., France, Japan, and California. His credits include the comics work HardBpiled, Big Guy (with Frank Miller) and Shaolin Cowboy (with his split personality The  Chubby Johnson). He has done concept work with film directors Wachoswki Brothers, Ridley Scott, and JJ Abrams amongst others. He has met President Frederick Mitterand of France and has never met either Bush Presidents. He continues to work in comics, film, animal husbandry, and never intends to meet either Bush’ or maverick media vampire Sarah Palin.

TOM DEFALCO: A former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics with over thirty books currently in print, Tom DeFalco has written comic books, graphic novels, short stories, prose novels and books like Spider-Man: The Ultimate Guide and Comic Creators on Fantastic Four.  He was also a major contributor to The Marvel Encyclopedia and The Marvel Chronology. DeFalco has recently worked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars for Titan Comics, The Man From RIVERDALE for Archie Comics, Flash Gordon for Ardden Entertainment, The Flying Fool for Moonstone Books and, of course, The Spectacular Spider-Girl for Marvel Comics.  He is currently writing a new Thunderstrike limited series with co-creator Ron Frenz.

LEO LEIBELMAN: Leo Leibelman went to the HS of Music and Art and took a How to Draw Comic Books class under Carlos Infantino. Those classes paid off because a few years later in 1994 he began working for Marvel Comics on Savage Sword of Conan. From there, Leo worked for Acclaim Comics on Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Majick: the Gathering and Topps on Hercules.  Leo eventually moved to the Great White North and found himself in the film industry while still keeping his hand in the comics business. Besides comics and film, Leo has painted covers for romance novels and has illustrated for educational CD roms. Currently, Leo is working on films and TV shows full time and has produced some covers for magazines like Heavy Metal.

MARK MORALES: A graduate of New York’s famed School of Visual Arts, Mark Morales is a longtime comics veteran.  Over the course of his 15 year career, he has worked for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics and various others, mostly as an inker.  Through the years, Mark has worked on such titles as Uncanny X-men, Secret Invasion, Justice League, New Avengers, Thor, Daredevil and many others.  Currently he is hard at work on ‘Siege’ from Marvel Comics.

STEVE SCOTT: Comic artist Steve Scott’s work recently graced the  X-Men Forever series with writer Chris Claremont as well as a current Green Lantern special project at DC Comics.  He is also the only artist tapped by DC Comics to do any work relating to Batman Forever, depicting the now legendary turn of Heath Ledger as The Joker.  Steve’s work has also often been seen on the television show Smallville and in other special projects for DC Comics.  He began his comics career at Malibu Comics and enjoyed immediate success but continued to lead a dual life as firefighter by day and artist by night– for more than sixteen years, in fact! After 9/11, Steve was selected among the few to contribute to DC Comics’ The Worlds Finest Comic Book Writers & Artists Tell Stories to Remember.  Recent and current projects at Marvel Comics, and DC Comics include working with industry legends Louise Simonson and Chris Claremont on the titles Magik and Exiles, the Marvel Adventures line featuring Fantastic Four, Avengers, and the Hulk, work on She-Hulk, and a Kyle XY one shot for Disney/ABC with writer Jeff Parker.

LENIEL FRANCIS YU: Leinil Yu’s first interest in Comics was sparked by a copy of How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way when he was 11.     It was later reinforced by positive responses from talent scouts from Wildstorn/Homage and Darkhorse, published fan art in Wizard Magazine and first professional work on Entity Comics’ Aster.  The major break was Whilce Portacio’s tutelage where the training landed him his first mainstream comics gig: Wolverine in 1997.   After a lengthy run, he later took on the Uncanny X-men, X-men, Highroads, Superman: Birthright, Silent Dragon, Ult, Hulk/Wolverine, New Avengers, Marvel’s 2008 Epic: Secret Invasion,  and a series of projects with writer Mark Millar, Ultimate Avengers and their creator-owned project:  Superior.  He lives in Manila, Philippines.

We will be looking at consecutive story pages only, with an eye toward storytelling as well as drawing skills. A minimum of five consecutive pages are required. Please bring your most recent work. Pop Culture Event Continues to Reveal Presence of Major Creators; New Guests Include Chris Ware, Adam Hughes, David Finch and Others

Norwalk, CT, January 27, 2010:  In their first announcement of 2010, C2E2 officials have divulged the names of ten top artists to add to the line up of major guests who have already been announced for the new pop culture event which is set to debut at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center, April 16 -18, 2010.  The creators, who are among the leading and most progressive artists working in the graphic arts field today, will make themselves available to meet and greet the thousands of fans expected to swarm the McCormick Center as Reed Exhibitions launches the Midwest incarnation of New York Comic Con, which itself has quickly grown to be second largest pop culture event in America, and the largest pop culture event on the East Coast.

“We are kicking off 2010 welcoming 10 major artists to C2E2, but this is merely the beginning of a 2 month cavalcade of guest announcements that we promise will wow fans in Chicagoland and all over the Midwest,” states Lance Fensterman, Vice President for the Reed Pop Culture Group and Show Manager for C2E2.  “Next week, we will be announcing ‘Women Creators at C2E2′ and each week after we’ll have bigger and bigger announcements to share with you.  With about two and a half months until C2E2 storms the shores of Lake Michigan we are fully prepared to wow the fans of the Midwest with the caliber of show they deserve and have told us they want.  New York Comic Con has grown exponentially over the past four years and we are using all our knowledge and expertise to make C2E2 the largest event in the Midwest, just as NYCC is the largest event on the East Coast.  Of course, none of this would be possible without the willing participation of our guests, to whom we are deeply grateful.”

Some of the other guests who have already been announced for C2E2 include Alex Ross, who will be a Keystone Guest of Honor, Jackson Guice, Steve McNiven, Mike Mignola, Jeff Smith, Ben Templesmith and Ethan Van Sciver, among many others.

The ten new artists joining the guest line up at C2E2 include:

Franco Aureliani: Franco was born in 1492 aboard the cruise ship Santa Maria and currently resides in Nueva York in a warm ranch-style house with a white picket fence and a very lovely lady who said “yes” to his marriage proposal and their wonderful son.  Franco spends most of his time in his Bat Cave-like studio and emerges occasionally to yell at people and stuff. He is the creator of Weirdsville, co-creator and writer of the acclaimed indie title Patrick the Wolf Boy, and co-creator and writer of DC’s all-ages, New York Times Best-Selling, Eisner Award-winning hit Tiny Titans.  He has also been known to write, paint, or draw for companies big and small from DC to Devil’s Due on titles such as Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam, I Dream of Jeannie, Ninjatown and many others.  Not wanting any free time in his life, Franco teaches High School Art and gains immense satisfaction in seeing new generations of artist coming into their own.  Franco is adamant that he is a genius, but he usually defers to his wife who tells him he isn’t and keeps him grounded in the real world.

Jimmy Cheung: Originally hailing from the UK, Jimmy now resides in Florida, pencilling exclusively for Marvel Comics. He is currently working on a new Young Avengers project with Allan Heinberg as well as providing covers for the Secret Warriors series. His past projects for Marvel have included Iron Man, X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, Illuminati and New Avengers, and he Is responsible for co-creating the Young Avengers and Scion for CrossGen Comics.

Frank Cho: Frank Cho was born in Seoul, South Korea, and at the age of six, he and his family came to the United States. Cho never had any formal training in art and taught himself to draw and write by reading art books and comics. At the University of Maryland, he created the award winning college strip, University 2 (University Squared), which ran in the campus newspaper, The Diamondback. Upon graduating from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor degree in Nursing, he signed with Creators Syndicate Inc. His Liberty Meadows was distributed worldwide and was also published as a comic book from Insight Studios Group. In an unprecedented move in comics history, Cho voluntarily discontinued the newspaper strip in favor of comic book distribution only. In 2002, Cho has moved the hugely successful Liberty Meadows comic from Insight Studios Group to Image Comics. He has number of projects scheduled, including upcoming exclusive Hulk and New Ultimates with Jeph Loeb for Marvel Comics and Dragon Line and Zombie King for Image Comics.

Geof Darrow: Geof Darrow began his professional career in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a snow shoveler, lawn mower,  and occasional altar boy. He moved up from there (or down depending on your taste) to design character models for Hanna Barbera. Due to the French-American trade imbalance during the 80′s, he was sent to Paris, where he nearly ruined Jean “Moebius” Giraud’s career by working with him at the French publishing house Aedena on the project City of Fire. From there, he bedeviled Frank Miller, making his life miserable, in turn, by working with him on the comics  Hard Boiled and The Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot  for Dark Horse. Not content with ruining his reputation in print, Darrow moved into celluloid and was the concept artist on the Matrix Trilogy and Speed Racer films for the Wachowski Brothers. He is currently writing and drawing the Shaolin Cowboy for Burlyman Entertainment as well as writing and co-directing an animated version of the Shaolin Cowboy for Madhouse Animation Studios, produced by the aforementioned Wachowskis. He is still available for lawn mowing and snow shoveling but has laid down his hassock  much to the consternation of the church. Mea Culpa.

David Finch: David Finch began his comic book career at the age of 22 at Top Cow. There, he created Ascension and Aphrodite IX, both of which were top sellers in the business.  In 2001, he made the move to Marvel.  His 15 issue run on Ultimate X-Men saw sales of the comic jump 40%.  On Avengers, David’s presence doubled sales with starting with his first issue.  Eventually feeling the need for a change, David took on the monumental task of bringing a perennially low-selling, cancelled Moon Knight into the mainstream.  His run on Moon Knight skyrocketed this title into the main Marvel universe and saw it sell over five times the all the title’s previous releases.  Now, David is working with Jeph Loeb on Ultimatum.  In addition to his comic career, David has also worked on video games, music, and film.  He has worked with Zack Snyder, Guillermo del Toro, Clive Barker, and Michael J. Straczynski, among others.  His artwork can currently be seen in stores nationwide on the CD cover for the band Disturbed.

Ron Garney: Ron Garney has been a professional comics illustrator since 1989. Over the course of his career, he’s built a large fan following, tackling some of the industry’s greatest characters including the Incredible Hulk, Silver Surfer, X-Men, JLA, Captain America, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight,  and G.I. Joe.  He’s been nominated twice for the industry’s coveted Eisner award, for best penciler and best serialized story for Captain America with Mark Waid. Ron has also worked in the film industry, notably on I Am Legend as costume illustrator, and he currently illustrates Wolverine: Weapon X alongside Jason Aaron. Ron lives in Connecticut with his wife and three children.

Adam Hughes: Born Cinco de Mayo during the Summer of Love in Riverside, NJ, Adam escaped to Atlanta in the early 90s, when such things were possible.  Starting his comics career in 1987, Adam has drawn for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, and many other companies.  He has also done work for Lucasfilm, Warner Bros., and Joss Whedon’s Mutant Enemy Productions. He’s drawn everything from Star Wars to Star Trek and Indiana Jones to Tomb Raider. His run of covers on Wonder Woman won multiple Harvey Awards and an Eisner.  He’s also won both the Gold and Silver Spectrum Awards for Comics. Adam is currently working on many projects, including a hard-cover collection of his work for DC Comics over that last 20 years.  He also enjoys designing statues for Sideshow Collectibles.

Greg Land: Greg has been illustrating comics as a freelance artist since 1994.  He broke into the business with Sky Comics, on a title called Storm Quest. This work led to projects with DC Comics that included Nightwing and the Birds of Prey. In 2001, Greg started with CrossGen Comics and helped develop their top selling adventure book, Sojourn. His next step was illustrating several covers for Marvel, Top Cow, and DC.  His relationship with Marvel Comics led to an exclusive contract that has featured work on titles such as Phoenix: End Song, Ultimate Fantastic Four, and Ultimate Power.  Currently, he’s at work on The Uncanny X-Men. Greg resides in Florida with his wife of almost 25 years, Trish, and their daughter, Shelbi.

Paul Pelletier: Paul has been drawing comics professionally since 1992. Over the last 18 years, he’s penciled books including Ex-Mutants, Flash, Green Lantern, Negation, Fantastic Four, and She-Hulk and worked for companies including Malibu, DC, CrossGen and Marvel. He is now under exclusive contract with Marvel and is drawing the Incredible Hulk. Paul lives in Tampa with his wonderful wife, Danette, and their two cats, Moxie and Marino.

Chris Ware: Chris Ware lives in Oak Park, IL, and is the author of Jimmy Corrigan – the Smartest Kid on Earth. He is currently serializing two new graphic novels in his ongoing periodical The ACME Novelty Library, the 20th issue of which will be released in 2010. He has guest-edited McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern and Houghton-Mifflin’s Best American Comics and was the first cartoonist chosen to regularly serialize an ongoing story in The New York Times Magazine. A contributor to the New Yorker and The Virginia Quarterly Review, his work was included in the 2002 Whitney Biennial, was favored with an exhibit of its own at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 2006, and will be exhibited at the Gävle Konstcent.

Secret Asian Man Art Available at Boston Comic Con

Tak Toyoshima, creator of Secret Asian Man, announced on his website that he is selling his originals for the first time ever at Boston Comic Con:

After a loooong time not doing comic shows (besides the Asian American Comic Con a couple months back) I’ll be at the Boston Comic Con on October 24-25. The folks that throw this show have really stepped up the talent that they bring. The guest list includes: Geof Darrow, Tim Sale, Walt Simonson, Herb Trimpe, Khoi Pham, Cliff Chiang, and David Mack just to name a few. I may end up spending more time on line meeting some of these artists than at my table!

I’m also going to finally start selling off original Secret Asian Man strip artwork, dailies and Sundays, at the show. If you are in the New England area, swing by and meet a bunch of high caliber talent. If you live in Boston, you have no excuse. If you’ve never been to a comic show, this a a great one to start with.

Uncle Walt & Weezie Come to Boston Comic Con

Walt & Louise Simonson appear at Boston Comic Con on October 24-25, 2009

Today the Boston Comic Con is happy to announce that WALT & LOUISE SIMONSON are joining us at the Back Bay Events Center on October 24-25, 2009! Walt is no stranger to New England having studied geology at Amherst College and then transferred to the Rhode Island School of Design where he created the comic Star Slammers as his senior thesis. Walt is best known for his groundbreaking work on The Mighty Thor where he created the alien warrior Beta Ray Bill. His artwork has also graced the pages of Star Wars, Fantastic Four, Detective Comics, and X-Factor which he co-created with Louise. Walt is well-renowned for his writing and participated in this summer’s Wednesday Comics project in which he penned the Catwoman strip.

Louise “Weezie” Simonson began her career in comics on the editorial side at Warren Publishing and later Marvel where she made the switch to writing full-time. She has scripted many titles including New Mutants, Superman: Man of Steel, and Magnus Robot Fighter, and co-created popular characters like Steel, Cable, and Apocalypse. Louise also has to her credit the creation of the superhero teams Power Pack with artist June Brigman and X-Factor with her husband Walt.

Boston Comic Con Returns

The Boston Comic Con is excited to announce its biggest guest list ever for its upcoming show on October 24-25, 2009. These comic book star creators are coming to New England’s largest comic convention to meet their fans and sign autographs.

Living legend HERB TRIMPE comes to Boston Comic Con – In the 1960s, during the period known as the Silver Age of Comics, Trimpe was assigned to what became his signature character, the INCREDIBLE HULK – he went on to draw the character for a virtually unbroken run of over eight years. As a MARVEL COMICS mainstay, Herb drew nearly every starring character along with THE TRANSFORMERS, G.I. JOE and SHOGUN WARRIORS. He’s most famously credited with the co-creation of the Marvel comic character “WOLVERINE” who later became a breakout star of the X-MEN. Stop by and meet this comic legend appearing both days at the show.

DAVID MACK is a creative dynamo in the comics industry, unleashing ground breaking work on books such as DAREDEVIL and his creator owned KABUKI -With over 12 years spent professionally in the comics industry and more graphic novels than you can count, Mack has grown a large fan base and gained acclaim from all over the world. In addition to his comic work David Mack has also written the treatment for a “KABUKI” film – BCC welcomes this innovative talent.

KHOI PHAM, one of MARVEL COMICS’ finest artists; a superstar who is considered to be one of Marvel’s “YOUNG GUNS” From X-FACTOR to the INCREDIBLE HERCULES to his whirlwind run on the Secret Invasion flashback chapters of MIGHTY AVENGERS – it is hard to believe that Khoi has had no formal training. Come meet this artist whose career in the comic field may have come quick, but by no means will be a short one. Welcome to Boston, Khoi!

Boston Comic Con welcomes CLIFF CHIANG to our growing list of talented artists. A Harvard graduate, Cliff was formerly an assistant editor at DC COMICS before he made the leap to freelance illustrator. In his time as an artist, he has drawn such diverse characters as BATMAN, THE SPECTRE, RED SONJA, GRENDEL, SWAMP THING and WONDER WOMAN. Cliff most recently illustrated the GREEN ARROW / BLACK CANARY series for DC COMICS and is currently working on a graphic adaptation of Neil Young’s GREENDALE. A fan favorite, he will be appearing both days!

BCC welcomes comic artist and designer GEOF DARROW! Winner of three EISNER awards, his first which he shared with Frank Miller for HARD BOILED, his second in 1996 for BIG GUY & RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT and his most recent (2006) for his self – penned series SHAOLIN COWBOY, featuring Geof’s trademark ultra-violence, irony and meticulous level of detail. Darrow was also credited as ‘Conceptual Designer’ on all three MATRIX movies showcasing his visual style. A true talent not to be missed.

STEPHANE ROUX is a French comic book artist who is known mostly for his cover work for MARVEL, DC and SEMIC comics. He has worked on such titles as WITCHBLADE: BLOODOATH as well as SIBILA and STRANGERS in the SEMIC pocket publications-His most recent works have included cover artist on BIRDS OF PREY, and COUNTDOWN TO FINAL CRISIS for DC comics. Let’s show this continent hopper what a real AMERICAN comic show is like!

MIKE McKONE has penciled many titles including JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA and JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL for DC COMICS and PUNISHER WAR ZONE for MARVEL COMICS. However it was his work of Marvel’s EXILES which brought him instant attention, and led him to work on DC’s TEEN TITANS and Marvel’s FANTASTIC FOUR. His most recent credits include AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and covers for DEADPOOL: SUICIDE KINGS and PUNISHER.

JIM CALAFIORE gained notoriety with Valiant’s X-O: MAN-O-WAR and ARMORIES. Following his time with Valiant, Calafiore moved over to MARVEL taking his “metallic” style to IRON MAN. After a long stint on DC’s AQUAMAN with writer Peter David, he returned to the “House of Ideas” as the co-penciller on the reality hopping series EXILES. This DC exclusive artist is currently illustrating the darker side of Gotham City and BATMAN’S rouges in the GOTHAM UNDERGROUND mini series.

ERIC CANETE got his professional start working in animation when he was just a 17-year old kid – not even out of high school yet! Eric has done storyboards, backgrounds and designs for shows like JUSTICE LEAGUE, TEEN TITANS, THE BATMAN, and LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES. His full time job is with CARTOON NETWORK on the re-launched BEN 10. Along with his animation work he continues with his first love – COMICS! CRAIG ROUSSEAU began his career at DC Comics on such titles as IMPULSE, HARLEY QUINN, BATMAN BEYOND, and GOTHAM ADVENTURES. He is currently working on IRON MAN: ARMOR WARS after a successful run on SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE written by Terry Moore. Craig is also the co-creator of the indy comic hit THE PERHAPANAUTS.

SCOTT WEGENER is the co-creator of KILLER OF DEMONS and the Eisner Awards-nominated ATOMIC ROBO. He recently worked on PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL and the 70th anniversary issue of HUMAN TORCH for Marvel Comics.

ROB STULL is a fourteen year comic book industry veteran, who has worked for every major publisher. As an inker Rob’s comic book projects include: SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN, IRON MAN, UNCANNY X-MEN, and WOLVERINE all for Marvel Comics. Other projects include: 52, SUPERGIRL AND THE LEGION OF SUPER HEROES, NIGHTWING, and FIRESTORM for DC Comics and TELLOS for Image Comics.

MARK MCKENNA is the creator of the children’s book character Banana-Tail. Mark has been a professional in the comics industry for close to 25 years and has worked on over 8,000 pages. He is currently working on SECRET SIX for DC Comics and for Archie Comics.

NORMAN LEE has been a professional comics creator for close to 15 years. He has worked on every major character in the Marvel Universe. He is currently working on EXILES for Marvel Comics.

BOB ALMOND is the founding father of the Inkwell Awards. He has also been a professional inker for the past 15 years. He has worked most recently for IDW on STAR TREK and on THE PHANTOM.
