With the highly anticipated film adaptation by Tim Burton looming in the horizon, we invited concept artists of the feature film and beyond to create their vision of the iconic story and celebrate it’s lasting legacy. Featuring works by Amy Sol, Chris Appelhans, Kukula, Naoto Hattori and more, this superbly talented and diverse roster of artists gets curiouser & cruiouser with works that range from the gothic to the whimsical. This exhibit is sure to delight art-lovers of all ages.

Join us in welcoming two amazing artists; Barron Storey and Kent Williams as they meet fans and sign copies of their published works.

After being out of print for 17 years, Barron Storey’s legendary and nearly impossible-to-find MARAT/ SADE JOURNALS is back in an all-new, re-scanned and re-edited edition. Storey will also have copies of LIFE AFTER BLACK, a “sequel” to MARAT/ SADE available.

Kent Williams’ work has been exhibited internationally and is included in the collections of Robin and Marsha Williams, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Darren Aronofsky, and Meg White. His works have been published in numerous books, including the most recent KENT WILLIAMS, AMALGAM: PAINTINGS & DRAWINGS, 1992-2007, the most comprehensive collection of Williams’ work to date.

Gallery Nucleus and Creature Features presents: October Shadows. For the past two years, October Shadows has been known as Creature Features’ annual homage to the Halloween spirit. The exhibit and book by the same name will feature a prestigious group of artists from all facets of fine art, illustration, comics, film, TV, and animation, conjuring a wealth of imagery that explore the grotesque and the occult.

The exhibition will also give one the opportunity to pre-order the Creature Features book which features many of the artwork shown.

Gallery Girls will be here opening night for a very special costumed figure drawing workshop! Bring drawing materials and join us from 7-10PM in the Atrium upstairs gallery.

Opening night features include:

  • Free refreshments provided & spooky snacks served.
  • This is an all ages event.
  • Admission is free.
  • Music spun by Special Agent Lotus & DJ Cyrano.
  • Free costumed figure drawing workshop with Gallery Girls 7-10PM ( Materials not included).
