Writer Mike Sizemore was described by Warren Ellis as “Nine kinds of wrong.” His three-minute short SLINGERS has been called “the best TV show never made”. He adapted HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE for the stage and created the web series CAPER starring James Callis and Scott Bakula. He recently helped create a human being too.

Dave Kennedy is an artist originating from a dark corner of the North of England. He devotes his time here on Earth to drawing things that hopefully entertain others. He currently lives in the town of Wigan with his wife Tomomi, son Ren, and a worrying amount of toy robots.

NYC – Hurricane Harvey Relief Signing

Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez (La Borinqueña, Freaks) and Gabby Rivera (America, Juliet Takes a Breath) appear at Forbidden Planet on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 6:00 PM for a signing to benefit the Hurricane Maria relief efforts! The store will be offering the NYCC exclusive 3rd printing variant of La Borinqueña and the beautiful paperback edition of the first volume of America. $5 from the purchase of each of these items goes directly towards the relief effort.

We will also have bins up at the front of the store throughout the day. Drop off whatever dry goods you can spare. In particular, we are looking for:

UK – The Death of Stalin Signing

NYC – Professor Marston & The Wonder Women Signing

Actors Luke EvansRebecca HallBella Heathcote, and director Angela Robinson appear at Forbidden Planet on Monday October 9th at 12:30pm for a special meet and greet with fans! They are promoting the upcoming film Professor Marston and The Wonder Women (opening on October 13th) which chronicles the true story of the creator of Wonder Woman.

Forbidden Planet will be distributing FREE posters and comic cover mock-ups for fans to get signed, along with a few other surprises.

This is a first come, first admitted event, the line expected to reach full capacity early. When we reach the number of attendees we know we’ll be able to handle we’ll start a standby line. Attendees on standby will not be guaranteed a chance to meet our guests but will be given free posters while supplies last.
