SPACE 242, Boston’s Low Brow Destination, proudly announces its January, 2011 exhibition: GOOD VS EEEEEVIL! Superheroes vs. Villains Smackdown. The group exhibition, on view January 28 through February 4, 2011 includes paintings, illustrations, mixed media, sculpture, and photography by over 4-dozen artists. The opening reception, Friday, January 28 runs from 6-8pm, is free and open to the public with RSVP at www.space242.com. An artist conversation will be held Friday, February 4 from 7-8pm. Gallery hours are Friday evenings 6:30-8pm (no rsvp necessary).

MA – A Visual Homage To Our Inner Geek

SPACE 242, Boston’s Low Brow Destination, proudly announces its January exhibition, I…YOU…WE…ROBOT!, A Visual Homage To Our Inner Geek, features artwork inspired by robots in various mediums, by over 70 artists. The exhibition, on view January 29 through February 19 includes paintings, illustrations, photographs, mixed media, sculpture, and comics. SPACE 242 , Boston’s lowbrow destination, proudly announces its July 2009 exhibitions: SIN ALLEY, featuring new work by Craig Bostick, ROBOTS & HUNGRY ANIMALS, featuring new work by Fish McGill; and VOODOO KITCHEN, featuring new work by Gavin Petersen. The exhibition, on view July 31 through August 21, features a variety of new work by these three illustration artists. The opening reception, Friday, July 31, runs from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Boston’s South End, 242 E. Berkeley Street, 2nd floor (between Albany Street and Harrison Avenue). The artists will also host an artist talk Tuesday, August 18, from 7:00 to 8:00p.m. RSVP required for attendance at either event at ww.space242.com. Regular gallery hours are Friday evenings, 6:30-8pm, and by appointment. No RSVP is necessary for visiting during regular gallery hours.
