*ABOUT THE BOOK*

THE RED TEN is a superhero re-imagining of Agatha Christie’s classic novel “And Then There Were None” written by local creator Tyler James.

When the world’s greatest detective is violently murdered by her nemesis, the world’s foremost super team and her former sidekick band together to bring the villain to justice. However, the mission goes terribly wrong, and before the night is out each of the ten “heroes” will pay dearly for past transgressions.

THE RED TEN is an independent, creator-owned ten issue maxi-series by Tyler James (writer) and Cesar Feliciano (artist), featuring stunning covers by Charles Paul Wilson, III (Stuff of Legend).

GraniteCon 2011 Report

Double Midnight Comics hosted their annual Granite State Comicon in Manchester, NH this past Sunday. Despite the wet weather, it was a packed house with several cosplayers showing up in character. Guests included local writers of The Cape Joe Hill and Jason Ciaramella plus artist Zach Howard, who received many well-wishes on their recent Eisner Award nomination. Artist Sean Gordon Murphy talked about his upcoming storyarc on American Vampire and what it was like working with Grant Morrison on Joe the Barbarian. And several contributors, including co-creators Rich Woodall and Adam Miller, from the ZombieBomb Comic Anthology were on hand to meet fans. It may only be a one-day show but supporting local homegrown conventions like this is the best way to encourage them to grow and for retailers to bring in more comic creators for signings. Thanks, Double Midnight!

NH – Sanford Greene Signing

Sanford Greene signs on Friday, April 29 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.

Join us on April 29th as we welcome artist Sanford Greene to the store! Sanford has worked for Marvel, DC and Archie on titles such as Marvel Adventures Spider-man, Batman Strikes, Wonder Girl, and Sonic the Hedgehog. He is currently working on the upcoming Dark Horse Presents and a graphic novel 1,000 for MTV Comics! Sanford will also have an exclusive print available at the store!

Sanford is making a pit stop at the store on his way to the Boston Comic Con which is being held April 30th and May 1st at the Hynes Convention Center. Get all the details on the con at www.bostoncomiccon.com! We’ll be at the show so make sure to stop by and say hi!

NH – Adventures in Cartooning

Alexis Frederick-Frost from the Center For Cartoon Studies hosts a FREE workshop based on the book Adventures in Cartooning!  Alexis will also be signing copies of this book and the Adventures in Cartooning Activity book! This all goes dwn on Saturday November 13th.

Representatives from Anime Boston will be on hand for pre-registration!

The ladies from Human Sushi Cosplay will be hosting a Cosplay 101 session!  Learn tips and tricks on how to make your own killer costumes!

You can also get some costuming tips from The Ghostbusters of New Hampshire. They have made a short film called Spilled Milk! The guys will be on hand as we screen the film along with our film Dark Journey and other short films!
