NYC – The Weatherman #1 Signing

Creators Jody LeHeup and Nathan Fox will be at Forbidden Planet NYC on Wednesday, June 13 from 6:00 -8:00 PM to sign THE WEATHERMAN from Image Comics!

Nathan Bright had it all: an awesome girlfriend, a kickass dog, and a job as the number one weatherman on terraformed Mars. But when he’s accused of carrying out the worst terrorist attack in human history—an event that wiped out nearly the entire population of Earth—Nathan becomes the most wanted man alive and a target of a manhunt that spans the galaxy. But is Nathan truly responsible for such a horrific crime? And why can’t he remember? Writer JODY LEHEUP (SHIRTLESS BEAR-FIGHTER!), artist NATHAN FOX (DMZ, HAUNT, Dark Reign: Zodiac), and colorist DAVE STEWART (Hellboy, RUMBLE) present a full-throttle, widescreen science fiction epic about the damage we do in the name of justice and what it truly means to be redeemed…You don’t want to miss THE WEATHERMAN! – See more at: https://imagecomics.com/comics/releases/the-weatherman-1#sthash.2erNXaTb.dpuf

OR – The Art of Colorists Group Exhibit

Press Release:

Sequential Art Gallery + Studio is proud to present a collaborative group show featuring the work of comic book color artists known as colorists. The exhibit consists of original artwork and examples of the colorists’ industry work. The exhibition begins with an artist’s reception from 6pm-10pm on opening night, Thursday, December 7, 2017, and will be available for viewing throughout December.

In the simplest of descriptions, a colorist is responsible for adding color to black-and-white comic book art. Over the years the medium of comics has evolved, and so have the skills of color artists. As the work of colorists has become an increasingly dynamic component, their recognition by the industry and their peers has increased. It’s our hope to further that recognition by working with several colorists for this installation.

Among the color artists participating in the show are Lesley Atlansky (Short Order Crooks, Kid Sherlock), Jeremy Colwell (Batman/TMNT, Wonder Woman Rebirth), Jeromy Cox (DMZ, Promethea), Kelly Fitzpatrick (Archie, Bitch Planet, DC Bombshells), Adam Guzowski (Nailbiter, TMNT), Sloane Leong (From Under Mountains, Change), Steve Oliff (Akira), and Rico Renzi (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Spider-Gwen). The exhibit is organized by Fitzpatrick, Atlansky, and Marissa Louise.

The colorists’ group exhibit will be on display the entire month of December. The gallery is open for viewing Mondays 2pm-6pm, Saturdays 11am-5pm, and by appointment. The exhibit closes on Saturday, December 30th, at the end of business.
