Blair Butler is an American stand-up comic and television host, known for her work on the “Fresh Ink” segment on the G4 program, Attack of the Show! Her first graphic novel, HEART, is out through Image Comics.
Gerry Duggan is a writer for Attack of the Show!, as well as such comic books as Marvel’s Deadpool (with Brian Posehn) and the Infinite Horizon with Phil Noto from Image Comics.
James Asmus is a writer of comic books, theater, comedy, and scripts of all kind. Plus an extensive resume of improv, comedy, and acting. He currently writes Gambit for Marvel and Thief of Thieves for Robert Kirkman’s Skybound imprint at Image Comics.

He’ll be here signing copies of Secret Avengers and sketching at a rare (for us) Wednesday EVENING appearance! The line for this exclusive signing begins when the store opens at 11am. Rob and Robert are scheduled to begin signing sharply at 4pm. In addition to Captain America and its Sentinel of Liberty spinoff, Mark Waid’s Marvel contributions include stints in Deadpool, Fantastic Four, X-Men-centric Onslaught, and Ka-Zar. In 1997, he collaborated with painter Alex Ross on DC’s historic Kingdom Come, earning an Eisner Award for Best Limited Series; in a similar vein, he co-created DC’s Elseworlds franchise. Waid revisited the JLA’s early days in JLA: Year One and re-rewrote the Man of Tomorrow’s biography in Superman: Birthright.

HeroesCon welcomes Ed McGuinness in the latest update to the guest list! Ed’s Capcom-influenced art style has helped blur the lines between Eastern and Western interpretations of Marvel and DC’s iconic superheroes. With great runs on Deadpool, Superman, Superman/Batman, and The Hulk, Ed has made an indelible mark on mainstream American comic books. On top of all that, Ed is a great guy and HeroesCon is very happy to have him back.
Also joining HeroesCon this year is Ed’s former editor at DC Comics, Eddie Berganza. Eddie is the executive editor of the DC Universe line. A 19-year veteran of DC, Berganza oversees high-profile events like Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, Blackest Night and their latest crossover event, Flashpoint.
