Walmart Gives Superman Fans Exclusive Access to the First Screening of “Man of Steel”
Tickets to the June 13 advance screening on sale at Walmart on May 18
BENTONVILLE, AR, and BURBANK, CA – April 24, 2013 – Superman fans, mark your calendars! Walmart announced today that it has partnered with Warner Bros. to give its customers exclusive access to see Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Man of Steel” in theaters nationwide before the film’s official release. This program marks the first time in entertainment history that a studio has partnered with a retailer to provide such an opportunity for fans.
Tickets for the exclusive screening of “Man of Steel,” will go on sale in more than 3,700 Walmart stores starting at 8 a.m. on May 18. Customers will be able to purchase up to four tickets per visit, and have the option to choose between 2D or 3D showings, where applicable. The advance screening will take place in selected local theaters nationwide at 7 p.m. on June 13.

- Priority Purchase of Blu-ray Combo Pack or HD Digital Download: Each ticket bought at Walmart will feature a code on the back that allows customers to pre-order their own Blu-ray Combo Pack or HD Digital Download of “Man of Steel,” which will contain exclusive film content.
- Official “Man of Steel Experience” Mobile App: Fans can bring Superman to life with the official “Man of Steel Experience” augmented reality app. The app allows customers to take photos with the superhero, as well as unlock special photo frames by pointing their phone at “Man of Steel” signage in their local Walmart. DC ENTERTAINMENT REVEALS POSTER ART FOR THE CHICAGO COMIC & ENTERTAINMENT EXPO (C2E2)
Superstar artist Tony S. Daniel Creates Original Drawing Featuring Superman!
Norwalk, CT, Friday, January 18: DC Entertainment – the renowned comic book publisher and media entertainment company – has today revealed that they will provide the original poster art for the 2013 edition of the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2). The exclusive art will feature Superman in an iconic Chicago setting. The poster will figure prominently in C2E2′s advertising and promotion and will be featured at the convention as well as in Chicago area retailers and on transit trains and buses throughout Chicago leading up to the show. Famed DC artist Tony S. Daniel (ACTION COMICS) has drawn the powerful new image of Superman flying over the Chicago skyline. Daniel will also be a Spotlight Guest at C2E2 in 2013.
This year’s C2E2, which is produced by the organizers of New York Comic Con (NYCC), is expected to attract thousands of loyal fans making this convention the largest pop culture extravaganza in the Midwest. It will take place April 26 – 28, 2013 in the West Building at the McCormick Place Convention Center.

ABOUT TONY S. DANIEL: A life long Chicagoan residing now in the Northern Suburbs, Tony has dedicated himself to the creation of comic books. Tony started his career at indie publisher, Comico, drawing the cult classic , “Elementals.” Soon after, Tony moved over to Marvel Comics’ “X-Force” and “Gambit and the X-ternals.” Tony then worked with the legendary Alan Moore at Image’s “Spawn: Bloodfued” before going on to create his own indie books, such as “The Tenth,” “Adrenalynn,” “F5″ and “Silke” for Image and Dark Horse Comics. Going back to the mainstream, Tony has worked at DC comics since 2004 on books like “Teen Titans” and, most notably, “Batman” with superstar writer Grant Morrison, before writing and drawing his own run on “Batman” following the “Battle For the Cowl” event. Tony relaunched the New 52 “Detective Comics” which he both worked on as writer and artist. Tony’s most recent assignment involves Superman in the pages of Action Comics with writer Andy Diggle.

Attendees of the Con will be the first to see footage from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2, the highly anticipated epic animated conclusion to Frank Miller’s landmark story. On Saturday, October 13 from 12:15-1:15 p.m. in the IGN Theater at the Jacob Javitz Center, executive producer Bruce Timm, dialogue/casting director Andrea Romano and special guests will discuss the making of the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie and show some tantalizing clips. Also anticipated during the panel is the announcement of the 2013 slate of DCU animated films. Produced by Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. IRVINE, Calif., Oct 3, 2012 - Kia Motors America (KMA), one of the fastest-growing car companies in the U.S has joined forces with renowned comic book publisher DC Entertainment, to bring the World’s Greatest Super Heroes to life by combining automotive styling with comic book art. The partnership, which will yield eight individually customized vehicles, harnesses the talents of legendary comic book artist and DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee, who has collaborated on the design of each car with his vision for each iconic member of DC Comics’ Justice League.
Each core member of the Justice League line-up – Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg – has been matched to a Kia vehicle based on key attributes and character traits to create custom, one-of-a-kind rides to be unveiled over the next ten months at major auto shows and comic conventions across the U.S.
The Kia-DC Entertainment partnership will yield a total of eight vehicles timed to be unveiled around five major events around the U.S., including New York Comic-Con, SEMA Show in Las Vegas, North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Wonder-Con and San Diego Comic-Con.
