Making his triumphant return to FCBD is Marvel, DC & Dark Horse Artist ROGER ROBINSON! Roger will be here all day signing your comics and selling his prints and original art! Roger is also the artist of the FCBD Comic CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT from Dark Horse Comics!

STAR WARS FANS rejoice!! Making his first appearance at FCBD here at I.E. Comics is Dark Horse Star Wars Artist CARLOS D’ANDA!!! This amazing, supremely talented artist will be here all day signing your comics!

And if those two weren’t enough, Meet the writer and artist of the hit series TODD THE UGLIEST KID ON EARTH, KEN KRISTENSEN & M.K. PERKER!!! Both of these amazingly talented people will be here at I.E. Comics for the first time signing your copies of Todd!

And when it gets dark… We celebrate STAR WARS DAY.. May The 4th Be With You with our presentation of the EWOK MOVIE: THE CARAVAN OF COURAGE and THE BATTLE FOR ENDOR!!! The movies will be shown on our big 15×30 screen outside with plenty of seating!!

AND IF THAT’S STILL NOT ENOUGH… at 10pm, we have our 1ST ANNUAL NERDS ANONYMOUS MIXER!!! This is a 21 and over event that everyone who enjoys comics & pop culture will be able to attend! Caleb Goellner is a blogger based in Portland, OR. He’s originally from Kansas City, where he first met Buster Moody, colorist of Bayou and Screamland: Death of the Party. The duo bonded with Portland illustrator Ryan Hill, artist and colorist of the Dark Horse Comics Avatar: The Last Airbender Free Comic Book Day 2013 issue, over a shared love of tokusatsu, manga, and LEGO. Task Force Rad Squad is the trio’s first team-up in an ongoing war against space monsters.

Earth’s legit-est teenage protectors have vanquished evil and are settling into sleep mode… until their new mentor accidentally unleashes a fresh batch of cosmic monsters, forcing them to engage evil once again as Task Force Rad Squad.

Task Force Rad Squad #1 is a 32-page, full-color calamity by writer Caleb Goellner, artist Buster Moody, and colorist Ryan Hill that introduces readers to three teens with radditude, their substance-addled “mentor” and the weary AI known as PhRANCIS. Written by Husbands creators Jane Espenson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Brad Bell, this is the comic-book continuation of the sitcom phenom. Husbands tells the story of famous gay newlyweds Brady and Cheeks, who sparked a media firestorm when they woke up legally wed after a drunken Vegas weekend. Now, a mystical wedding gift launches the couple on a series of adventures-a tongue-in-cheek journey through iconic genre realms-filled with obstacles that threaten to tear them apart. Follow Brady and Cheeks into a superhero showdown, a fairytale fantasy, a Holmesian mystery, an epic galactic battle, a madcap high school romp, and a saucy secret-spy thrill ride. Includes bonus “making of” material and a special introduction.

Jane Espenson grew up in Ames, Iowa where she watched too much television. At age 13 she attempted to write an episode of M*A*S*H. It didn’t work out. She attended college at UC Berkeley, studying linguistics as an undergrad and graduate student. While in grad school she submitted spec episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and got her tiny foot wedged in the last open door of show business. After winning a spot in the Walt Disney writers’ fellowship, she worked in sitcoms for a number years. Her first staff job at a drama was her job at Buffy the Vampire Slayer, followed by a year as Co-Executive Producer at Gilmore Girls, and brief stints as Co-Executive Producer of the cancelled FOX dramas Tru Calling and The Inside. Brad Bell is showrunner and star of Husbands, the newlywed sitcom which made history as the first show online to be honored by prestigious television institute The Paley Center.
