Viz Media Presents Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure at C2E2 2018

VIZ Media heads to the midwest to participate in Chicago’s premier pop culture and comics convention, Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2). C2E2 takes place April 6 th to April 8 th in the South Building at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago. This year, VIZ Media will host several panels and welcomes English voice actors from the hit anime series JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE – STARDUST CRUSADERS as special guests. Catch Matthew Mercer (Jotaro Kujo) and Richard Epcar (Joseph Joestar) for an exciting JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE panel discussion and an in-person autograph session during the convention.

Star Wars Rebels’ Steve Blum & Mary Elizabeth McGlynn Appear at Anime Boston 2018

Voice Actors Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Steve Blum will be appearing at Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA on March 30th through April 1, 2018.

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is a voice over actress, writer, singer, and director. As an actress, she is currently playing Governor Pryce in Star Wars Rebels, Dr. Maheswaran in Steven Universe, Zahra Hydrus in Geek & Sundry’s Critical Role, Valkyrie in Lego Marvel’s Avengers, Talis in StarCraft II, Johanna in Heroes of the Storm, Queen Metalia in Sailor Moon Crystal, and Brooha in Glitter Force.

Mary Elizabeth portrayed Major Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost In The Shell Innocence, Solid State Society, and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex for which she won the American Anime Award for Best Actress. Some of her other popular roles are Cornelia in Code Geass, Kurenai from Naruto, Julia from Cowboy Bebop, Zanpakuto from Bleach, Helba and Bordeau from .hack, Jagura from Wolf’s Rain, Nuriko in Fushigi Yuugi, and Caroline from Vampire Hunter D.

“Mary Elizabeth McGlynn has one of the most recognizable voices in anime. Female heroes have long had a prominent place in anime and Mary’s portrayal of Major Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell series stands as the most iconic,” said Victor Lee, Convention Chair.

With literally hundreds of V/O credits to his name, Veteran Voice Monkey Steve Blum is best known as the voice of Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, the villain Amon in Legend of Korra, Wolverine from several incarnations of X-Men, Orochimaru, Zabuza, and others from Naruto, Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VII, Leeron from Gurren Lagann, Storm Troopers and many others in most of the Star Wars games, dozens of Digimon, and a gigantic list of other characters from Anime, Video Games, TV and Film. In 2012, Steve was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records as Most Prolific Voice Actor in Video Games – appearing in almost 300 games (now approaching 400!)

Currently you can find him as Zeb Orrelios and other characters in the incredible saga that is Star Wars: Rebels on Disney XD, as Shoe and Sparky in Laika’s The Boxtrolls, and as astronaut Quentin Thomas on Hip Hop superstar LOGIC’s amazing album The Incredible True Story and his latest release Everybody.

Square Enix, Blizzard & Wizards of the Coast at MomoCon 2017

Square Enix, Blizzard and Wizards of the Coast will be among the companies at MomoCon, the convention with the largest gaming floor in the Southeastern United States. The annual event, which is expecting more than 30,000 attendees for its thirteenth year, will take place Thursday, May 25 – Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Square Enix senior game designer Takatsugu Nakazawa, who has worked on Final Fantasy since the franchise’s seventh installment and through Final Fantasy XV, along with Global Brand Manager Raio Mitsuno, will deliver the keynote address at MomoCon. Final Fantasy composer Naoshi Mizuta will be featured in a live Final Fantasy orchestral performance on Sunday.

Blizzard will host a panel celebrating Overwatch’s one year anniversary featuring visual effects artist Rachel Day and community manager Josh Engen. An Overwatch voice actors panel will feature Charlet Chung (D. Va), Matthew Mercer (McCree), Jonny Cruz (Lucio) and Fred Tatasciore (Soldier 76), with lead writer Michael Chu moderating.

Wizards of the Coast will host two panels. The first will focus on inclusivity in Magic through story, art, and the ways that fiction and games can impact real life. The second will discuss the story of Amonkhet, the Gatewatch and what’s next for the Multiverse of Magic: The Gathering.

HTC will offer hands-on demos of the Vive. Blue Mammoth Games will showcase their upcoming platform fighter Brawlhalla. The 20 finalists from the MomoCon Indie Game Awards will also be on display, in addition to 14 other game developers exhibiting at the show.

More than 70 special guests will attend the convention including the Co-Optional Podcast, Marisha Ray and Taliesin Jaffe of Critical Role and Machinima.

Over 190,000 sq ft of space will be dedicated to games during all four days of MomoCon. Four-day and single-day badges are available on the MomoCon registration page. Gamers unable to attend MomoCon can watch panels live on Twitch via MomoCon TV.
