comicazi-ogw

Comicazi along with Cartoon Network and Boom Studios present Patrick McHale, creator of Over the Garden Wall, on Wednesday August 26th from 6:00 till 8:00 PM. The evening will include a Free Comic Signing & Cartoon Viewing Party with Patrick McHale. Space is limited so reserve your FREE ticket now at the link! *Event is now SOLD OUT*

Over the Garden Wall is a lush animated series airing on Cartoon Network. Boom! Studios released a one-shot adaptation of the show, which led to new issues due to its success. These newer issues help expand certain points between some episodes of the animated series. It’s a fine chance for you to get all caught up!!

Over the Garden Wall is an American animated television miniseries created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Network. The series centers around two half-brothers who travel across a strange forest in order to find their way home, encountering strange and wonderful things on their journey. The show is based on McHale’s animated short film Tome of the Unknown.

Bringing the classic feel of a Victorian fable, this is a fun journey of two brothers trying to find their way home through the Unknown, a strange forest adrift in time. With the talent of Pat McHale on story and the illustrative storytelling of Jim Campbell this is definitely going to be an awesome journey that will appeal to fans of The Secret of NIMH, The Triplets of Belleville, and Grimms’ Fairy Tales.

Author Tony McMillen appears at Comicazi on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 7:00pm to do a reading from his novel, Nefarious Twit.

As he describes it, Nefarious Twit reads like a psychotic, adult Lemony Snicket. It’s a really dark, drugged out, surreal road trip story about two brothers who are severely damaged people. Some parts are bleakly funny, some are beautifully sad and a lot are seriously weird.

Come hear a reading from Tony, get your copy of the book signed and get to know the author behind this sure to be American classic!
