PORTLAND, Ore., January 14, 2014 – Question-and-answer sessions with top celebrities like Stan Lee, Bruce Campbell, William Shatner and WWE® Superstar CM Punk®, meet-and-greets, adult and kids costume contests, film festival and an array of comics and pop culture themed panels comprise the robust featured programming schedule at Wizard World Portland Comic Con, Jan. 24-26 at the Oregon Convention Center. Most programming is included as part of the standard event admission.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Portland Comic Con show hours are Friday, Jan. 24, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 25, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Portland Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor, often stopping by the Cosplay Stage, the ideal place to see and be seen.

More Than 100 Hours Of Programming Set For All Four Days At Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, August 8-11

NEW YORK and ROSEMONT, Ill., July 29, 2013 – From interactive Q&As with celebrities like Stan Lee, Michael Shannon, Robert Rodriguez, John Barrowman and WWE® Superstar CM Punk® to reunions of the “Firefly” and “Smallville” casts to comics panels, costume contests, evening parties and more, Wizard World Chicago Comic Con today unveiled its most robust and diverse programming schedule ever, with more than 100 hours scheduled over the full four days in a total of nine programming rooms at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, August 8-11.

Some of the featured programming includes:

  • Q&A sessions with Lee, Shannon, Barrowman,Manu Bennett, Zachary Quinto, James Marsters, Jon Heder, Wil Wheaton, Ralph Macchio, Jason David Frank and many others.
  • WWE extravaganza, featuring a session with Punk and one with WWE® Diva AJ Lee, WWE® Hall Of Famer Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat™ andWWE® Superstar Dolph Ziggler™.
  • Cast reunions of “Firefly” (Morena Baccarin, Summer Glau, Alan Tudyk) “Smallville” (Aaron Ashmore, Allison Mack, Michael Rosenbaum, Marsters) and “Warehouse 13” (Ashmore, Eddie McClintock).
  • “A Conversation With… Robert Rodriguez,” an evening with the noted filmmaker (first admission for all VIPs, general admission free or suggested donation).
  • Comics-themed panels headed by some of the top names in the industry, including Neal Adams, Michael Golden, Greg Capullo, Scott Snyder, Chris Claremont, Alan Davis, Rob Prior and Esad Ribic.  Superman, Batman and X-Men fans will take special delight in a few of them.
  • Costume contests for adults (Saturday night) and kids (Sunday) bring out the best cosplayers in the Midwest!

NEW YORK, June 4, 2013 – Wizard World (OTCBB: WIZD) has announced the celebrity and superstar creator rosters for the 2013 Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience, June 28-30 at Basketball city (Pier 36) in Manhattan.  Comics legend Stan Lee, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” icon Patrick Stewart and five prominent cast members of “The Walking Dead,” including Norman Reedus, Laurie Holden, Michael Rooker, Jon Bernthal and Chandler Riggs, “The Fonz” Henry Winkler and WWE® Superstar CM Punk®top the celebrity list.  Mike Deodato Jr., (“Amazing Spider-Man,” “Wonder Woman”), Carlos Pacheco (“X-Men,” “Green Lantern”),Humberto Ramos (“The Spectacular Spider-Man,” “Impulse”) and Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams (“Batman,” “Superman”) are among the most prominent creators attending.

Lee and Stewart will appear on Saturday, June 29; Punk will attend on Friday, June 28; Reedus, Bernthal and Riggs are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday; Holden and Rooker are both slated for all three days.

Other standout special guests include Hockey Hall of Famer Brian Leetch, Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, both appearing Saturday, and Wil Wheaton (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”), Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventure of Superman”), Pam Grier (“Smallville,” “The L Word”), Anthony Michael Hall (Batman, Sixteen Candles), James Marsters (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Caprica”), Sarah Underwood (“Attack of the Show,” The House Bunny) and Jason David Frank (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”), all scheduled for the full three days.

A highlight of the event is the Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience Celebrity Cruise on Friday from 9 p.m. – midnight (additional ticket required).  Reedus, Rooker and Bernthal are scheduled to be aboard as the ship sails from Basketball City up past the Freedom Tower.  All attendees must be 21 years of age, and DJ, buffet menu and two free drinks are included, and a ticket to any day of the event is required in order to purchase tickets for the cruise.

The Artist Alley at Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience will also feature Mike Zeck (“Spider-Man,” “Punisher”), Jim Cheung (“Avengers Vs. X-Men,” “Uncanny X-Men”), Stan Goldberg (“Archie,” “Simpsons Comics”), “Zombie King” Arthur Suydam (“Marvel Zombies,” “Army of Darkness”), Michael Golden (“Hulk,” “Daredevil”), Rick Buckler (“New Crusaders,” “Thor”) and J.G. Additionally, all full price attendees will receive a free copy of the Exclusive Variant Cover of The Walking Dead #1 comic, available only at Comic Con Wizard World NYC Experience.

Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience will be the fourth of eight events on the 2013 calendar, which also includes shows in Chicago (Aug. 8-11), Columbus, Ohio (Sept. 20-22), Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 18-20) and Austin, Texas (Nov. 22-24).  Wizard World has also scheduled four 2014 dates: Portland, Ore. (Jan. 24-26), New Orleans (Feb. 7-9), St. Louis (April 4-6) and Philadelphia (June 19-22).

NEW YORK and NEW ORLEANS, November 26, 2012 – Interactive Q&A sessions with stars Stan Lee, Eliza Dushku, WWE® Superstar CM Punk®, Dean Cain and the casts of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “The Walking Dead” are among the featured programming announced for this weekend’s Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, Friday through Sunday at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.  Sessions with stars like Michael Madsen, Kevin Eastman, Jason David Frank and others, supplemented by “Creator Spotlights” with leading artists, a screening of Madsen’s film Vice and evening parties on Friday and Saturday further bolster the most diverse panel schedule ever at the event.

Some of the more interesting sessions include:

  • Interactive celebrity Q&A’s with Lee, Dushku, Punk, Cain, Madsen, Frank and others.
  • Seven cast members of “Star Trek: TNG,” including Jonathan Frakes(Commander William T. Riker), LeVar Burton (Lt. NEW YORK and AUSTIN, Texas, October 19, 2012 – Wizard World today announced its most robust Austin Comic Con programming schedule ever, with a variety of sessions with top celebrities, superstar artists, industry insiders, evening parties, costume contests and dedicated kids activities, Oct. 26-28, 2012, at the Austin Convention Center.  A once-in-a-generation special reunion of the cast of “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” individual Q&A’s with Patrick Stewart, Eliza Dushku andWWE® Superstar CM Punk® are among the more than 15 celebrity panels among the nearly 50 scheduled during the three days.

The evening entertainment includes the popular “Wizard World Drink & Draw” on Friday, Oct. 26, and “Wizard World Masquerade Party” on Saturday night.

NEW YORK and COLUMBUS, Ohio, September 21, 2012 – Interactive Q&A discussions with all the event’s top celebrities, superstar artist sessions and costume contests for adults and children are among the highlights on the special programming schedule at Wizard World Ohio Comic Con, set for Sept. 28-30, 2012, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Patrick Stewart, Eliza Dushku, Val Kilmer, WWE® Superstar CM Punk® and others will answer fans’ questions in panels that are often surprising and always entertaining.

Some of the most interesting scheduled sessions include:

NEW YORK and AUSTIN, August 15, 2012 – Seven stars of the popular series “Star Trek: The Next Generation” will gather for their first 25-year U.S. reunion at Wizard World Austin Comic Con, Oct. 26-28, 2012, at the Austin Convention Center.  All seven of the main stars are scheduled to attend, including the legendary Patrick Stewart, who portrayed the stern, determined Captain Jean-Luc Picard, commander of the USS Enterprise.

The “TNG” stars will be joined in Austin by Eliza Dushku (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,”True Lies), WWE® Superstar CM Punk®, Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “90210”), Anthony Michael Hall (Sixteen Candles, Weird Science), James Marsters (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Torchwood”) and the Boondock Saints trio of Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco, among others.

The other “TNG” actors on board include Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T. Riker), LeVar Burton (Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge), Michael Dorn (Lieutenant Worf), Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Lt.
