    Houston, Texas gets a new protector in 2012, and to celebrate Kaine coming to town in SCARLET SPIDER #1 on Wednesday, January 11, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema – West Oaks will be holding a welcome party for their incoming hero!

    The SCARLET SPIDER creative team of writer Chris Yost and artist Ryan Stegman will be in attendance for this special event where fans will get the opportunity to celebrate Texas style.

    Beginning at 12:00 PM and running until 4:00 PM, Yost and Stegman will appear at 8th Dimension Comics & Games in Houston (8475 North Highway 6, Houston, TX 77095) where they will be signing and SCARLET SPIDER #1 will be available.

    From there, the action shifts over to the Alamo Drafthouse at 6:30 PM where seating for the event will begin. Attendees will each receive their own copy of SCARLET SPIDER #1 and be treated to a Marvel-themed pre-show on the big screen.

    At 7:30 PM, Yost, Stegman and moderator Alan Cerny of Ain’t It Cool News will take to the stage for a panel discussing all things SCARLET SPIDER. Finally, the evening will wind down with selected episodes of “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!” written by Yost himself.

The discussion will give fans a rare look into Allred’s creative process, including never-before-seen art and a unique chance to pick the brain of one of comics’ most creative minds! In addition, Image superstars Frank Cho (Liberty Meadows), Tyrese Gibson (Mayhem) and Ben Templesmith (Fell) will give the first word on many of their upcoming projects.
