Robin Brenner, librarian and founder of the graphic novel review site www.noflyingnotights.com, will moderate a panel on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am about how, why, and when to tell stories in words and images. Panelists include Tim Fish, Jesse Lonergan, and Liz Prince, whose graphic novels cover children’s and young adult, and adult subject matter. Free and Open to the Public.

Tim got himself a cult following with his gay romance comic book Cavalcade of Boys which is set in a Southern California where bored 20-somethings look for love. Tim’s other works include Strugglers, a coming-of-age tale set in St. Louis, and Love is the Reason which is a more mature spinoff of Cavalcade of Boys.
Tim’s modern love stories take readers on a journey into the day-to-day lives and loves of a host of characters from all walks of life. You might also know his work from the recent full length graphic novel of everyone’s favourite 90s show Saved by The Bell. He’s worked in a number of different formats, from web comics and anthologies to print comics and newspapers. He’s also worked on Marvel’s Nation X, Iron Man: Titanium, I ♥ Marvel and Oni’s Hopeless Savages Greatest Hits.

Her popular blog The City Sweet Tooth is an online tour of New York’s best bakeries, pastry shops, and cafes, and now she has set her sights on Japan with “Cool Japan Guide!”
Tim Fish (X-Men: Nation X, Cavalcade of Boys, Something Fishy This Way Comes) brings his talents to the Vertigo anthology that resurrects the classic DC Comics tales of weird, horrific, funny and sexy sports stories for the modern age! He has produced material for Poison Press, Edge Boston, Popimage, H&O Éditions, and Marvel Comics. Tim’s work includes the critically acclaimed romance series Cavalcade of Boys, the graphic novel Strugglers, and the mini-comics anthology Something Fishy This Way Comes.
