MIAMI, February 10, 2011 – Wizard World Miami Comic Con today announced its diverse programming schedule, featuring unique celebrity Q&A’s, movie screenings, game shows, artist schools and more for the event, set for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26-27 at the Miami Airport Convention Center.

Some of the highlights include:

* Rare Q&A panels with Scott Thompson and Julie Benz , as well as popular Comic Con guests Billy Dee Williams, Adam West and Burt Ward
* “Are You Smarter than a Ghostbuster” featuring Wizard World’s favorite Ghostbuster, Ernie Hudson
* “Buffyfest” with Nicholas Brendon and “Vampire Diaries” with Clare Kramer and Mercedes McNab
* Troopers, knights, Ghostbusters and other groups take over the Convention floor with a parade of fan groups
* Saturday evening programming for adults only, 300 Brigade Villains Unite Show and the Bagged and Boarded “Smodcast”
* Wizard Art School and Q&A’s featuring leading artists like Bill Sinkiewicz, Mike Grell, Phil Jimenez, Alé Garza, Michael Golden, Greg Horn and others
* The popular adult costume contest and fun kids costume contest with great prizes

Miami Comic Con programming will take place in Room A and Room B at the Miami Airport Convention Center, and is included with admission to the event. NEW YORK and MIAMI, January 13, 2011 – North America’s largest pop-culture tour continues as Wizard World Miami Comic Con debuts at the newly-refurbished Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC), with superstar guests Billy Dee Williams, Julie Benz, Adam West, Burt Ward, Ray Park and Scott Thompson headlining the list of celebrity attendees. The event will bring together thousands of fans of all ages and dozens of celebrities and industry professionals to celebrate the best in pop culture, movies, comics, toys, video gaming, television, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.

SHAUN OF THE DEAD meets H.P. LOVECRAFT, as the last surviving decedent of H.P. Lovecraft learns that all of Lovecraft’s writings were true and that he’s the only person who can save the world. The film premiered at Slamdance in January and has been playing the festival circuit ever since. It is due for a February DVD release from Dark Sky Films, but you can see it here in Atlanta first.

July 27, 2009 – Chicago Comic-Con returns from August 6-9 with a lineup guaranteed to impress pop culture fans everywhere.

“This year’s lineup of talent is by far our largest and we have brought out guests for people of all ages,” said Wizard CEO Gareb Shamus. “We listened to our fans who told us exactly what they wanted, and we feel this is what we are giving them. Over 600 guests in all, an incredible number.”

This year’s show includes a host of celebrity guests including “Twilight” stars Cameron Bright, Alex Meraz, & Christopher Heyerdahl, Academy Award Nominee Edward James Olmos, the “Stand & Deliver” and “Battlestar Galactica” star, the stunning Michelle Rodriguez from “The Fast and the Furious,” Ray Park, Snake Eyes, in the new G.I. Joe film (also Darth Maul from Star Wars), UFC former Heavyweight Champion Andrei “the Pitbull” Arlovski, “Hellboy II” and “Blade 2″ star Luke Goss; “Baywatch” actress Donna D’Errico; “Star Wars” actor Billy Dee Williams; “The Incredible Hulk,” Lou Ferrigno, and “Ghostbusters” star Ernie Hudson.

Also scheduled to appear are actresses Margot Kidder, pop star Taylor Dayne and “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer” star Emma Caulfield.

The convention features selections from every corner of the pop-culture world, including movies, TV, toys, comics, video games, anime, manga, sci-fi, horror, WWE, MMA and other forms of entertainment – along with video game tournaments and costume contests.

All fans attending the show are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character, with an opportunity to win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. Top entries also will reach millions of fans via Wizard Magazine, wizarduniverse.com and wizardworld.com as well as other fan web sites.

The convention opens with a special preview night beginning at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, and continues through the weekend of August 7-9, beginning each day at 10 a.m. (9 a.m. for Advance Ticket Buyers.)
