SATURDAY, APRIL 7

4:15-5:15 PM: When the Haints Speak: A Conversation with Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook
(Location: Room S405a)

Harrow County has captivated fans and critics alike since 2015. Created by Cullen Bunn (The Sixth Gun) and Tyler Crook (B.P.R.D.), Harrow County follows the story of 18-year-old Emmy as she realizes that the ghosts, ghouls and goblins that surround Harrow County are all too real. After the townsfolk realize that Emmy has a connection with the creatures that lurk in the shadows, they put her on the run for her life. Join Bunn and Crook to reflect on this haunting southern gothic fairy tale before this award-winning series’ epic conclusion in 2018.

5:15-6:15 PM: Artists Who Write: The Creation of Comics
(Location: Room S503)

Whether it’s the adventures of a villain with a heart of gold, an underwater murder mystery, the life of a cartoonist, or anything in between, creators put a lot of thought into the sequential art that drives stories told in comics. Join Kristen Gudsnuk (Henchgirl), Ethan Young (Life Between Panels), and Matt Kindt (Dept. H) as they discuss turning an idea into a full-fledged story and how they continue to keep their writing fresh.

SUNDAY, APRIL 8

12:00-1:00 PM: ElfQuest: 40 Years of Pointed Ears
(Location: Room S403)

February 2018 wraps up 40 years of ElfQuest with the biggest bang ever. Celebrate the longest-running indie fantasy comic with Wendy and Richard Pini, co-creators, writers and artist. Learn behind-the-scenes secrets that have been hidden since 1978. PANEL SCHEDULE
Please join us at the panels below, brought to you by Dark Horse Comics and friends! Please visit http://www.c2e2.com/Events/Panels-And-Screenings/Panels for more panels featuring Dark Horse creators, as well as guidelines for attending panels.

SATURDAY, APRIL 22
3:00–4:00 p.m. Panel Room S403 The Millennial’s Guide to Keeping Comics Alive

The integration of social media into society has completely changed how people communicate with each other, and the comics industry is not invulnerable to this change. Join Dark Horse creators Kristen Gudsnuk (Henchgirl) and Kel McDonald (Buffy: The High School Years, Misfits of Avalon) to discuss the implications of social media on the industry and how creators use social media to engage with fans.

SUNDAY, APRIL 23
1:15–2:15 p.m. Panel Room S403 The Un-CONventional Superheroes

For decades, popular culture has been dominated by stories from superhero comic books. Most people can’t think of either superheroes or comics without thinking of the other. In recent years, Dark Horse creators have sought to pay homage to superheroes while also putting a modern spin on the idea of heroics. Join Jim Calafiore (Leaving Megalopolis), Kristen Gudsnuk (Henchgirl), and Jeff Lemire (Black Hammer) for a lively conversation about superheroes and antiheroes in the modern era and how their characters seek to challenge society’s perceptions of the superhero.
