With this year’s Boston Comic Con fast approaching, Tryptic Press is proud to present its debut offering, CHROMA, a stunning 84-page, full-color art annual featuring artwork and interviews from twelve of New England’s most hardworking & talented artists.
CHROMA will introduce the world to the booming and under-appreciated art community of the Northeast. Volume 1 features BCC alumni Andrew Houle, Michael Crockett, John Cardinal, Adam Miller, and Michael Doherty as well as fan favorites Raul Gonzalez III, James Weinberg, Dan Blakeslee, Emily Dumas, Greg Orfanos, Scott Mulcahey, and Robert Gill.
CHROMA will be available at Boston Comic Con April 20 and 21. On the heels of the upcoming release of our fresh and fleshy comic “ZombieBomb Presents: The New Adventures of Super Inga”, the endlessly working survivors over at Team ZombieBomb! are unleashing another event! Building on this April’s (21-22) Boston Comic Con, the show will feature an all-star collection of original art to be exhibited at the Gallery at Porter Mills in Beverly, MA.
A very special list of invitational artists include: Adam Miller, Haig Demarjian, Josh Morrissette, Joe Haley, Dave Ferriera, Greg Orfanos, and Michael Crockett, among hordes more of death denying contributors. ALSO! A large group of new artists previously unaffiliated with ZombieBomb! will be displaying their zombie inspired artwork in the gallery as well. Contributor Andrew Houle, series co-creator Adam Miller and gallery director Bea Modisett curate this exhibition.
Thursday, April 5th there will be a “soft opening” reception.
Then: the main event, The ZombieBombed! Artist Reception will be held Saturday, April 28th 4:00 – 8:00pm
Music for this massive undead art fest will be provided by DJ Noel Snow. ZBTV! film maker Tom Bennett will also be in house for the event, shooting footage for the next episode of ZBTV! Additionally, photographer Jesse Stansfield will have his “Photo Booth of Horrors” set up to document the night’s carnage (costumes are, of course, encouraged).
Finally, there will be a meet and greet with the men and woman behind the madness- a great opportunity to talk with the creators and have them sign your favorite issue of ZB! Merchandise and refreshments will be on hand, just waiting to be devoured.

Team ZombieBomb!, Hub Comics, and Bloc 11 Gallery host an art fundraiser event for the family of former Hub Comics owner James Welborn on Sunday July 10, 2011 in Somerville, MA. James passed away very recently and we as a community want to give back to his store, his child, and his family. James was very supportive of all our efforts, as well as to the rest of the local comic scene.
Come see us at the Bloc 11 Gallery Sunday, July 10th from 2-6pm to participate in a silent auction featuring work from comic book artists of every stripe who have come together to honor James’s memory. With A-list work both on display and available for sale, this is a unique opportunity for art fans to get their hands on some amazing original artwork, and to help a great cause while doing it. Contributions include pages by superstar artists John Byrne, Tim Truman, Esad Ribic, Dick Ayers, Jim Mahfood as well as pieces donated by local artists such as Joe Quinones, Maris Wicks, Adam Miller, Liz Prince, Rich Woodall, Meghann Brideau, David Marshall, Andrew Houle, Josh Morrissette, and many more. Several of these locals will be on hand Sunday.
Additionally, Hub Comics will have a storewide sale all day with savings from 10% to 50% off almost everything in the store. Hub is located right next door to Bloc 11, making Bow Street a prime destination for any comic book and zombie fan within driving distance.

James Welborn, founder of Hub Comics, died on May 23rd, 2011. Originally from Nevada, James came to Massachusetts to work in the computer industry. He always loved comic books, and wanted to raise awareness that comics could tell any story and be read by anyone of any age. He built Hub Comics to be not only a comic shop, but a friendly neighborhood destination for fans, artists, children, and families. His smile and gentle greeting of “How’s it going?” will be missed by Union Square.
A trust fund has been set up to provide for James’s family. Please contact Hub Comics for more information.

The ZombieBomb! crew at Terminal Press returns with a vengeance to the 2011 Boston Comic Con, launching the hit zombie anthology series’ latest chapter — RAVENOUS.
With an international group of fine artists, screenwriters, candlemakers and comic book wunderkinds, RAVENOUS features variant covers from co-creators Adam Miller and Rich Woodall and a host of talent from DC, Marvel, Image, IDW and all corners of the independent comics world.

ZombieBomb Hits the Rock & Shock Convention

Fresh off a killer weekend at NYCC, the Terminal Press “ZombieBomb!” crew drags itself eastward for Rock and Shock 2010! The horror convention and music festival, now in its seventh year, runs from Friday, Oct. 15th to Sunday the 17th at the DCU Convention Center and The Palladium in Worcester, MA.
Setting up shop at the Convention Center, the TP booth will feature the New England debut of the newest book in the “ZombieBomb!” series, Highly Contagious. Terminal Press Haunts the Cultyard at NYCC 2010

Terminal Press returns to its home turf next weekend as New York Comic Con rolls into the Javits Convention Center from Friday to Sunday, Oct. 8th-10th. Holding court with Long Island design studio Elite Gudz, Terminal Press will be throwing down and taking names at Booth #2883 in NYCC’s “Cultyard” pavilion.
Debuting at NYCC is the highly anticipated third volume of TP’s hit anthology series “ZombieBomb!” The new book, “Highly Contagious,” features alternative covers by series creators Adam Miller and Rich Woodall, with work from top talent in comics and the fine art world. Snag an exclusive first-edition copy of the comic Ain’t It Cool News says fans should “devour!”
Also scheduled to appear over the weekend is Exodus frontman Rob Dukes, contributor to “ZombieBomb!” as well as scribe on his own title I AM BECOME GOD and a featured character in the Terminal Press/Nuclear Blast crossover, “Exodus: Death Begets Death“.
