NJ – Evil Twin Comics Signing

FRED VAN LENTE & RYAN DUNLAVEY sign on SATURDAY, MARCH 26th 1-3pm!

Together they are EVIL TWIN COMICS!

Announcing another great creator appearance at Dewey’s!

This time it’s the Evil Twins themselves, Marvel Comic writer Fred (Amazing Spider-man, Incredible Hercules, Power Man & Iron Fist and much more) Van Lente and Action Philosophers and Comic Book Comics artist Ryan Dunlavey!  They’ll be here together on Saturday, March 26th  from 1-3 pm.

Even while working at Marvel as a big time writer Fred Van Lente continues to be one half of Evil Twin team, the producers of the highly acclaimed independent series Action Philosophers! He’ll be signing not only his Evil Twin work but also his Marvel written titles!  With his co-AP creator Ryan Dunlavey they now publish the amazing Comic Book Comics!

Comic Book Comics tells the inspiring, infuriating, and utterly insane story of the American comic book industry in the same irreverent style of Action Philosophers and is (as far as we know) the first-ever comprehensive graphic history of the comics art form!

Get ready this week for COMIC BOOK COMICS #5 and for non-stop action, action, action — LEGAL action, that is!

Comic Book Comics #5, the penultimate issue of the series and the special ALL-LAWSUIT ISSUE features the incredible, insane but true story of the American comic book industry and the legal battles that have ensued.

DC vs. Fawcett! Disney vs. the Air Pirates! Jack Kirby vs. Marvel over his stolen artwork! Steve Gerber over Howard the Duck! Don De Carlo over Josie and the Pussycats! And that pales next to the all-out war over the rights to Miracleman! All this, plus the Creators’ Bill of Rights, too! Don’t like it? Well, sue them! (Wait. No. Please don’t. That’s definitely not cool.)
