“Countdown to TERRA NOVA” Facebook App Launches Friday, July 22
TERRA NOVA Premieres Monday, September 26, on FOX
In celebration of the highly anticipated series premiere of TERRA NOVA, FOX invites fans to embark on a dino-sized interactive adventure. The “Journey to TERRA NOVA” fan experience kicks off Thursday, July 21, at the Comic-Con Interactive Lot at Petco Park in San Diego, CA, and will travel to 20 additional markets around the U.S. this summer and early fall.
This branded, solar-powered bus will house an interactive video green screen, where fans can digitally insert themselves into a scene from the series and then share it with friends via social media outlets by visiting www.journeytoterranova.com. Visitors to the mobile experience can watch an exclusive sneak peek of the show, relax while enjoying a futuristic oxygen bar and receive limited edition TERRA NOVA mini-posters.
Fans can also collect exclusive TERRA NOVA Pilgrimage Badges. These limited-edition badges are available at San Diego Comic-Con and throughout the duration of the tour. Fans can also join in on the fun by checking in to TERRA NOVA via GetGlue to unlock these Pilgrimage Stickers. (Be sure to include #terranova when checking in.) Different stickers will be available each day Thursday through Sunday, and additional badges and stickers will be available throughout the tour this summer and fall.
Visitors to the bus, as well as to www.fox.com/terranova/sweepstakes, who are 18 years of age and over, can enter for a chance to win a trip to Australia, where TERRA NOVA is filmed, as part of National Geographic Channel’s “An Expedition to Another World.” The winner of this 10-day high-adventure trip Down Under could snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, visit historical Aboriginal sites, go whitewater rafting down the Barron River and hike in Kakadu National Park, among other adventures. Starting this Friday, fans can visit www.facebook.com/TerraNovaonFOX to interact with the “Countdown to TERRA NOVA” Facebook app. This unique countdown experience will feature more than 60 new pieces of original scripted content, one released every day until the series premiere on Monday, Sept. 26. Content includes video newscasts, government propaganda pieces and public service announcements from 2149, as well as prequel video interviews with the Shannon family before they journey across time.

Steve Scott Headed to AdventureCon 2010

Steve Scott Heads Off for Adventure!– AdventureCon that is!
Tenn– You won’t find a more beautiful spot for a convention than Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, so why wouldn’t you want to head there this weekend and join the Adventure– AdventureCon that is! X-Men and Indiana Jones artist Steve Scott sure is!
Known for his work on “Razor” for London Knights, Indiana Jones for Dark Horse, X-Men for Marvel and most recently a Green Lantern special project for DC Comics, one of Steve’s favorite venues is AdventureCon.
“I always look forward to coming back to this show that has an awesome legion of fans, and hospitable promoters,” says Steve. “In an unbelievable location.”
In his illustration career, Steve has had the pleasure of penciling numerous titles including: “New Warriors,” “Hourman,” and “JLA” just to name a few. In addition, he is the only artist tapped by DC to do any work for the “Batman Dark Knight” movie featuring the now legendary Joker turn by Hearth Ledger. Steve’s work and rendition of this actor as the Joker can be found in the exclusive blue-ray package of the hit movie!
Other projects at Marvel Comics, and DC Comics include working with industry legends Louise Simonson and Chris Claremont on the titles “Magik” and “Exiles.” As well as titles in the successful Marvel Adventures line including: Fantastic Four, Avengers, and the Hulk. In addition to this ever growing list of published comics, cards, and other related illustrations, Steve also penciled “Kyle XY” for Disney/ABC with writer Jeff Parker.
If you are a fan of the television show, “Smallville,” you no doubt have also seen Steve’s flash animation work used in that shows production, as well. Steve is currently working on a new flash animation project to be announced soon!
It’s no wonder that Steve has the distinction of having his work owned by numerous collectors worldwide, including director George Lucas himself!
Scott will be at the convention all three days of the show available for signing and sketching, as well as offering several exclusive prints! So come on by.

Nashville is newest tour stop of Wizard World Comic Con
New York, NY (February 22, 2010) – CEO of New York based Wizard Entertainment, Gareb Shamus, announces his latest convention acquisition. Nashville’s Comic & Horror Festival is now Nashville Comic Con Wizard World Convention.
“The fans in Tennessee have supported and have grown this show into what it is today,” said Shamus. “We will continue to bring our fans more of what they love about comics and pop-culture.”
The 10 year old Comic & Horror Festival was previously managed by Marc Ballard, owner of ComicCityTN. Ballard will act as an advisor and consultant to maintain the local feel of the show.
“It’s an honor that Wizard took note of this show. The new Nashville Comic Con will broaden the fan base and bring an exciting presence to comic conventions in Tennessee,” said Ballard.
