Carmichael’s is very excited to announce that we will once again be hosting legendary author Chuck Palahniuk on Saturday, July 9th beginning at 3:00 PM for a signing of Fight Club 2, a graphic novel. Palahniuk has penned the sequel to Fight Club and it is only available in graphic novel format, featuring cover art by artist David Mack. This event is a signing ONLY; Chuck will not be reading or performing. In addition to signing copies of Fight Club 2, Chuck will sign two additional items (another book or a piece of memorabilia) and will happily pose for photos with fans.

This is a ticketed event. They may be purchased online or in the store. Tickets are $30 (plus fee for online orders), include a copy of Fight Club 2, and are required to join the signing line.

Chuck Palahniuk’s ten previous novels are the best-selling Fight Club, which was made into a film by David Fincher; Survivor; Invisible Monsters; Choke, which was made into a film by director Clark Gregg; Lullaby; Diary; Haunted; Rant; Snuff; and Pygmy. He is also the author of Fugitives and Refugees, a nonfiction profile of Portland, Oregon, published as part of the Crown Journeys series, and the nonfiction collection Stranger Than Fiction. He lives in the Pacific Northwest.

Tony Moore, artist and co-creator of The Walking Dead, appears at Collectibles Etc on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 4:00 PM to sign the 150th issue of Walking Dead! Moore has also worked on creator-owned titles including Fear Agent, Battle Pope, Brit, and The Exterminators as well as drawing runs on Ghost Rider, Punisher, Deadpool, and Venom for Marvel Comics.

As part of his Midwest Tour, Tony will have a variety of merchandise and art prints, including a signed and numbered limited edition silkscreen tour poster (only 10 available per shop!), Walking Dead #150 cover prints, and a raffle to win a super-rare painted Sketch Variant Walking Dead #1 Artist Proof Edition (only 1 per shop!). LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 20, 2014 – Question-and-answer sessions with top celebrities like Matt Smith and Karen Gillan of “Doctor Who,” Jason Momoa, Sean Astin and James Marsters, meet-and-greets, adult and kids costume contests, a discussion on the historic 75th anniversary of Batman, the Wizard World Film Festival and an array of comics and pop culture themed panels comprise the robust featured programming schedule at the inaugural Wizard World Louisville Comic Con, April 4-6 at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Most programming is included as part of the standard event admission.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Louisville Comic Con show hours are Friday, March 28, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, March 29, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

A first-class lineup of topical programming takes place all three days at the event, with celebrity Q&A’s, the Wizard World Film Festival, comics-themed sessions, costume contest, movie screenings, evening parties and more. Sunday, March 30, is also Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming specially designed for the younger Wizard World fans.

Louisville Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor, often stopping by the Show Stage, the ideal place to see and be seen.
