Andy Price, artist for IDW’s new My Little Pony series, appears at Haven Comics!
Andy Price is a Huntsville native and graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. Along with writer Katie Cook, he was recently tapped to draw the new My Little Pony comic, and we couldn’t be more excited. So excited that we’re having not one, but two signings.
The first will be on November 28th, 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., the day My Little Pony #1 comes out! The second, on December 15th, 12:00 to 6:00 p.m., will feature a costume contest and children’s activities!

Cartoonist Jimmy Johnson appears at the H. Grady Bradshaw Library on March 22nd. He says on his website, “This is the real homecoming, my return to “the Valley” of Beaucoup Arlo & Janis fame. This is an 11 a.m. luncheon appearance, complete with food. However, you know what they say about a free lunch; you’ll have to listen to me give a program, followed by the inevitable sales pitch.”

University of Alabama Presents Prize-Winning Fantasy Writer Gaiman at Bama Theatre
Neil Gaiman, the award-winning author of the fantasy novels The Graveyard Book, Coraline, Stardust, American Gods, and Anansi Boys will read from his work at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa. The reading is free and open to the public.
The reading is presented by The University of Alabama’s Creative Campus, in conjunction with UA’s Office of Academic Affairs, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering and the Bankhead Visiting Writers Series.
