    Spooky Empire will have some new merch and posters available next weekend! Be sure to stop by our booth located in the vendor room all weekend. 

    We have 2 new silk screened posters available. The first is a Children of The Corn inspired poster, created by artist Dave Berns and the second is a Nightmare Before Christmas inspired poster created by Retro Outlaw Studios. Both posters are Spooky Empire exclusives, and extremely limited, so be sure to get them before they’re gone. They will not be reprinted once they’re sold out. You can get them both at the merch booth, and you can also meet both artists at the show.

    Jim Shooter – a true legend in the comic book industry – has been a writer, artist, editor, and publisher for nearly fifty years! He is the former Editor-in-Chief for Marvel Comics and Valiant Comics. His writing credits include The Avengers, Secret Wars, Secret Wars II, Action Comics, Adventure Comics, Legion of Super-Heroes, Superboy, Superman’s Pal: Jimmy Olsen, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Star Brand, World’s Finest Comics, Harbinger, Magnus: Robot Fighter, Solar: Man of the Atom, and X-O Manowar. Jim Shooter has created or co-created dozens of characters, including Archer & Armstrong, The Beyonder, Chemical King, Controllers, Emerald Empress, The Fatal Five, Ferro Lad, Graviton, Henry Peter Gyrich, Jocasta, Karate Kid, Laurel Kent, Mordru, Nemesis Kid, Paladin, The Parasite, Persuader Princess Projectra, Rond Vidar, Shadow Lass, Star Brand, Sun-Eater, Symbiote, Tharok, U-Foes, Universo, Validus, and The Wanderers. He came up with the original story for The Transformers and helped oversee the launch of G.I. Joe in the 1980s, contributing many of the major ideas and themes for the story.

    COLUMBUS, Ohio, August 28, 2014 – Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Emily Kinney, Alanna Masterson, Andrew J. West and Jon Bernthal of “The Walking Dead,” Karl Urban (Star Trek, The Bourne Supremacy), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and WWE® Superstars The Wyatt Family™ are among the celebrities scheduled to attend Wizard World Ohio Comic Con, October 31-November 2 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. It is the 14th of 16 events scheduled in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known comics artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.

    Yeun, Reedus, Kinney, Masterson, West, Urban and Englund will appear on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1-2; the WWE stars (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper) will attend on Saturday only; Bernthal is scheduled for all three days.
