After a screening of the iconic movie, Elwes engages in a moderated discussion of the classic scenes, and audiences are treated to never before shared secrets and stories from the set, along with unbelievable antics sure to entertain.

Dallas Comic Show Returns on September 16-17

The Dallas Comic Show returns to the Richardson Civic Center on September 16-17, 2017 for a fun weekend filled with awesome guests and panels. Free parking, affordable admission, a great alternative to big box events that are sometimes too hectic for fans. Dallas Comic Show is a family-friendly event in the DFW area featuring exciting comic book and media guests, costumed characters, gaming and Anime content.

Our mission is to bring back an affordable pop culture convention experience to the DFW area, something everyone can enjoy and embrace without breaking the bank. This is show run by fans and done for fans. We are here to make sure you have fun.

Comic book guests include: Joe Jusko, Daniel Way, Todd Nauck, Tim Bradstreet, Steve Niles, Angel Medina, James O’Barr, John Lucas, Josh Howard, and many more.

Media guests include: Kevin Nash, Lori Petty, Tom Sizemore, Susan Eisenberg, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz, Kevin Grevioux, Erik Stolhanske, Dickey Beer, Jamie Marchi, and more.

All guest appearances are subject to work commitments. Guests appear both days of the show unless otherwise noted.  Scroll down to bios for info on media guest prices. In rare instances some guests may have to postpone their appearances due to work commitments, we always try to note if that’s occurred as soon as possible. Please note, Media Guests charge to sign your items or their merchandise, and most charge a fee for photos with them. Most comic book guests do not charge for autographs, but it’s always wise to ask first.

MomoCon and Southern Sky Brewing are joining forces for a special fan-centric beer tasting experience! Join us for Geeks & Brews, featuring an evening of costumes, games, local beer tasting, and more on Saturday, August 19th at 7:00 PM!

MomoCon will be bringing games and consoles, including Smash 4 and retro systems, and board games of all types, from Ascension to Giant Jenga, to Cards Against Humanity!

Southern Sky will be providing brewery tours and tastings. They feature a host of nerd and science-centric beers, like Aperture Pale Ale (it was a triumph), Schwarzschild Porter, and American (Pi)PA. A brewery tour includes:

About This Convention
Come on out and join us again at the Toms River Elks Lodge, 600 Washington Street, Toms River, NJ on Sunday, August 20th from 10 am to 4 pm. for a great day of kid friendly, FAMILY Fun. We will have guest artists, writers and creators of comics and independent works, vendors offering up comics from the golden age to present time, NON-sport cards, toys, figurines, anime, Pokemon, crafts, graphic novels, collectibles and so much more!!
Appearing for the first time will be THE GREEN HORNETS BLACK BEAUTY and The Dukes of Hazards GENERAL LEE! The Philadelphia Avengers, 501st Star Wars Legion, Carter Cosplay, Amanda Jade Cosplay and Daniel TKd will be joining us as well. There will be a craft table set up for kids to make their own super hero masks! Daniel TKd will be giving a Karate/Super Hero demo as well. The Philadelphia Avengers are very much involved with Charity work, especially those pertaining to children. They will be collecting new/gently used Halloween Costumes for Homeless children and anyone bringing at costume will receive $2 off admission.
Hourly door prizes, $how Ca$h, Cosplay Contest, Photo Ops and plenty of fun is what we’re offering up. Admission is $5 Senior Citizens $3 Kids 12 and under Free

As you wish… join actor Cary Elwes, heroic Westley himself, for a screening of The Princess Bride in the H-E-B Performance Hall at The Tobin Center! After the film, he’ll take you on a behind-the-scenes adventure of life on and off the set as well as a moderated discussion of iconic scenes, sharing never before told secrets and stories of the classic film.

About Cary Elwes:
Known for playing Westley in Rob Reiner’s iconic The Princess Bride, Cary Elwes has enjoyed a successful career in film, and has most recently taken on the role of author. Elwes can soon be seen in the second season of Sony Crackle’s “The Art of More” starting November 16th. He stars on the show opposite Dennis Quaid, Kate Bosworth and Christian Cooke. Cary also recently filmed a lead in the feature film THE FIRST directed by Jennifer DeLia.

His memoir As You Wish: Inconceivalbe Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride became a New York Times Bestseller. The paperback edition of the book will be released on November 4th.

Other film appearances include director Rob Reiner’s Being Charlie, which bowed at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews. He also recently produced and wrote Elvis Nixon which starred Kevin Spacey and Michael Shannon which was released by Bleeker Street. Elwes is also known for his roles in Academy Award winning films Glory, Days of Thunder and Bram Stoker’s Dracula, box-office hits Hot Shots!, Twister, Liar Liar and Saw, and the cult classic Robin Hood: Men In Tights. He has also played popular recurring roles in Golden Globe© and Emmy Award© winning television series “The X-Files,” and the highly rated comedy series “Psych.” Other TV credits include “Seinfeld” and the critically acclaimed miniseries “From the Earth to the Moon,” “Uprising,” “The Riverman” and “Pope John Paul II.”

About This Convention
Infinicon is a 3-day interactive convention August 11-13 in Dallas. Infinicon has something for everyone – Are you a Cosplayer? Do you sew?
