On Saturday, October 29—one month from today—the Boston Book Festival returns in person to Copley Square, with our Kickoff Keynote the evening before on Friday, October 28. After two years of virtual programming, we’re really looking forward to seeing you again, and to celebrate the power of words together!
We’ve been BUSY behind-the-scenes creating our Festival schedule, getting our presenter list set, planning the layout of our street fair, and making a reality all the cool literary things you expect from the BBF. This year, look for:
- 200 authors and presenters
- 70+ sessions
- Copley Square Street Fair featuring 60+ exhibitors
- 7 locations in and around Copley Square
- Your favorite local booksellers
- Author signings
- Activities for kids, including our Passport to Imagination scavenger hunt
- a lot more!
And since it’s two days before Halloween, why don’t you come dressed as your favorite literary character?

Our Boston Book Festival 2022 Headliners
