After a year off due to the pandemic the Granite State Comicon returns to the Doubletree by Hilton in downtown Manchester September 18th and 19th for two days of fun! Sponsored by Southern New Hampshire University the Granite State Comicon is now in it’s 19th year as New Hampshire’s comic book and pop culture convention featuring artists, vendors, cosplay, gaming, workshops, kids con and more!
This year the Granite State Comicon is proud to welcome actor John Ratzenberger known for his role as the talkative postman Cliff on the long running sitcom Cheers! In addition to his work on Cheers John is the only actor to have a role in all 24 Pixar movies with his most well known role being the piggy bank Hamm from Toy Story! John also had a small part in the 1980 Star Wars film The Empire Strikes Back as a Rebel Trooper. John will be joined by fellow Empire actors Ray Hassett and Mark Capri.
Comic book fans of all ages will be able to shop for rare and unique collectibles from a variety of vendors. Fans can also meet artists who have worked for Marvel & DC Comics including Rick Leonardi, Freddie Williams II, and Rob Guillory. Fans can also meet up and coming and local New England talent in Artist’s Alley!
In addition to special guests, the Granite State Comicon is also known for cosplay with many attendees dressing up in costume and professional fan groups representing Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Disney Princesses, Ghostbusters and more!
