Join us for a special Q & A with Javier Hernandez moderated by our executive director Michael Centeno on Saturday, May 26th at 1:00 PM!

Javier Hernandez is a cartoonist and arts instructor. He started publishing comics through his imprint Los Comex in 1998. Among his most known work is EL MUERTO, which was turned into a live-action film starring Wilmer Valderrama in 2007, for which Javier served as Associate Producer. Javier’s work has appeared in books such as ‘Latinx Comic Book Storytelling’ and ‘Graphic Borders: Latino Comics Past, Present & Future’. Since 2003 he’s been teaching cartooning and comic book workshops throughout Southern California. In 2011 he co-founded the Latino Comics Expo, the nation’s premiere convention dedicated to showcasing the work of Latino comic creators.
