Andy Heyward appears at Chevalier’s Books in Los Angeles on Friday, January 2oth at 7:00 PM to sign Go Go Gadget: The Creation of Inspector Gadget.
Andy Heyward began his career in 1977 working at Hanna Barbera as a writer under the tutelage of the great and legendary Joe Barbera. His first series was YOGI’S ALL STAR LAFF A LYMPICS, which enabled him to write for all the classic HB characters including Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, among others. In 1981, Andy left Hanna Barbera to work in France at a small animation company called DIC AUDIOVISUAL, which he eventually bought and relocated in Los Angeles, growing it to the largest independent producer of animation in the world. Over the next 25 years, Andy was responsible for creating and producing over 5,000 half hour episodes of animated television. Among scores of other animation household names, the beloved Inspector Gadget.
