UPDATE: The tour has been cancelled.
While details are somewhat scarce, a “live pop-culture movie and tour” is being launched in support of “Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope,” the documentary about the San Diego Comic Con directed by Morgan Spurlock and produced by the likes of Joss Whedon, Stan Lee, and Harry Knowles. Whether any of them will actually be in attendance at these events remains to be seen, but the promotional material promises “live superstar panels, exclusive footage from upcoming blockbusters, previews of the coolest new toys and collectibles” and “the incredible goodie bag.”

Well, this beats reading the Fan’s Hope book! Will this documentary and tour end up playing in San Diego? Will it end up playing in local theaters or go straight to DVD? Can’t wait to see it! Hopefully they show and interview the “real” fans who go Comic Con to meet the “real” stars, the comic book creators (artists and writers)!
Well, I would think they will probably make a big splash with it at SDCC this year. Since they are showing it at the tour dates, I suspect it might be skipping theaters, though.
It looks like the price of tickets is between $40 – $60. I’d say there better be guests or something there. Kind of hard to pay that kind of money for just a movie screening.
I agree with you there. The ticket prices are kind of steep for something that is going to last a few hours. They need something big to justify them.
