Connie by Al Rio

We here at Convention Scene are very saddened by the news of the death of artist Al Rio, as reported by Bleeding Cool and elsewhere.

On our old Comic Book Conventions.com site, Al was the of the first artists to draw our Connie mascot for the Convention Awards, and his version helped get us noticed by lots of fans.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.
