About This Convention
The sixth year of the California Comic Convention will again be held in Yorba Linda ( Orange County) California. The show will be on Sunday between the Football play-offs and Super-Bowl, so no one attending will miss the games. This show will feature mostly Vintage Comics, Fanzines and Artwork. The Guests will be those that drew in the Silver and Bronze age of comics. Because the show has been so successful in the past, all tables are already spoken for.
We are starting a waiting list at this time for a possible expansion room. We offer a low cost raffle with hundreds of dollars worth of CGC comics and original artwork.

  1. I went last year and thought that it was good, just not great. They had only two artists (whoses names I can’t remember) there last year, so it was kind of a bummer. Fortunately, if you are into buying back issues, you will find alot of comics there. They especially had some kind of hard books to find. Most books, however, can be found at most comic stores. In order for California Comic Con to be a greater sucess, they will really need to have more hard to find books, sell more variety of stuff (original artwork, sketches, sketchbooks, statues, trading cards, etc.) and invite more artists and writers. I mean, they really need to make it worth it to make the long drive to Yorba Linda. I think I will go to just to get Herb Trimpe’s autograph on a comic or two.
