TOP COW AT SPRING FAN EXPO

LOS ANGELES, Calif., February 16, 2010 – Top Cow Productions, Inc. proudly announced today that they will be exhibiting at Long Beach Comic Con’s Spring Fan Expo.  The one-day event will open to the public at 10am on Saturday, February 20th, with festivities lasting until 7pm.  Fans are encouraged to stop by the Top Cow booth (#302) to meet their favorite creators and shop for limited edition convention exclusives as well as their favorite Top Cow comics.

Among the creators appearing at the Top Cow booth will be penciler Eric Basaldua (Witchblade Annual, Hunter-Killer), writers Rob Levin (Broken Trinity: Pandora’s Box, The Darkness: Shadows & Flame) and Rick Loverd (Berserker) and inker Rick Basaldua (Witchblade Annual).  Fans are encouraged to check the Top Cow booth for signing times.

Fans who stop by the Top Cow booth will be treated to an exclusive first look at the lead-in series to this summer’s Artifacts, Broken Trinity: Pandora’s Box #1 by Levin, Bryan Edward Hill and Alessandro Vitti.  Broken Trinity: Pandora’s Box #1 will arrive in stores on Wednesday, February 24th.  Fans will also be able to pick up numerous free promotional items, posters and comics at the booth.

The Spring Fan Expo will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center is located at 300 Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach, California 90802.

TO – Guy Davis Exhibition

Of Mystery and the Macabre: The Guy Davis Exhibition
2009 Eisner award winning artist makes rare Toronto appearance
 
artoriginals presents master of the macabre and B.P.R.D. artist Guy Davis, who will be making a special Toronto appearance at the Gladstone Hotel on Saturday, February 27 for an interactive workshop and exhibition followed by an appearance at  Toronto ComiCON as a featured guest on Sunday, February 28.
 
Davis, recipient of the 2009 Eisner Award for Best Artist, is best known as the penciler and inker on Mike Mignola’s long running series B.P.R.D., chronicling the supernatural tales of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Mignola, best known as the creator of Hellboy (who was a former member of the B.P.R.D. team), is also the series writer. The Hellboy property has spawned two feature films and several animated versions. Fans and many industry insiders believe that B.P.R.D. is likely to be the next Mignola property that will be adapted for the big screen.
 
Selected works spanning Davis’ career, including Sandman Mystery Theatre, B.P.R.D. and The Marquis, will be featured in the exhibition along with an interactive and insightful workshop for registered patrons.

Actress-turned-paranormal suspense writer Amber Benson (Death’s Daughter) will sign & discuss the 2nd Calliope Reaper-Jones book, Cat’s Claw. Calliope Reaper-Jones is Death’s Daughter. She owes a debt to Cerberus, the three headed dog that guards the gate’s of hell-a debt that involves a trip to Purgatory, Las Vegas, ancient Egypt, and a discount department store that’s more frightening than any supernatural creature she’ll ever encounter.

Amber Benson co-created, co-wrote, and directed the animated supernatural web-series Ghosts of Albion with Christopher Golden, followed by a series of novels including Witchery and Accursed, and the novella Astray. Benson and Golden also co-authored the novella The Seven Whistlers. As an actress, she has appeared in dozens of roles in feature films, TV movies, and television series, including the fan favorite role of Tara Maclay on three seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson wrote, produced, and directed the feature films Chance and Lovers, Liars, and Lunatics.

Florida Supercon (FSC) returns to Miami for its 5th year as it takes over the entire Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel and Convention Center.
