Testing something new today. If you visit the All Upcoming Events page right now, you will find Tabbed views which give you the option of seeing all the events in a list or seeing them in our Google Calendar. If everyone likes this, I was thinking of just keeping the Google Calendar there and deleting the separate “Calendar View” page we currently have up.
Please respond below with whether or not you like this option.
Also, where else on the site would you possibly like to see things put into tabs instead of separate pages? It won’t work well for our larger pages because basically everything is loading at the same time. It works best with small chunks. I’m open to suggestions.
Brian Pate, Owner
In contrast to our other top story today concerning the rivalry and animosity between Wizard and Reed Exhibitions, here is a story of two convention promoters that know how to get along and play nice.
When HeroesCon ran into trouble with scheduling their show at the Charlotte Convention Center, the only dates available to them were the same weekend that the Florida Supercon was scheduled to run in Miami – June 4-6, 2010. Once contacted, however, Florida Supercon Promoter Mike Broder graciously agreed to move his dates to the June 18-20, 2010 weekend to accommodate them.
As HeroesCon Creative Director Dustin Harbin told Robot 6 @ CBR:
I mean seriously, this is comics, right? It is not so small an industry that there isn’t room for everyone who wants a seat at the table.
The HeroesOnline Blog has their official announcement.
